It is a shame that people that truly want to help people get attached to this "state run business". My son has been seen by them for 2 years and seen by Dr Tan. BCMH has been an epic failure because their total lack of interest in the person and think all mental health is controlled by a medication. My adult son has regressed terribly in 2 years and when they set him up to fail by not doing their job, its his fault. No DVR work found, no attempt to council to encourage, build his self confidence, let him know he will succeed, etc etc. Just a needle and day after day of idle time and wondering why he doesn't progress and a case worker that doesn't truly care other then the residuals thru his disability and insurance.

My Dad has been at Bay Shore for 3 months with late stage dementia. I can’t say enough about the excellent care he has received. Everyone on staff is so compassionate. They take such good care of Dad and go above and beyond for our family. We love them all.

I'm a former client of Dr. Tann, and I have NEVER felt so dismissed and shushed in my life! If I could give negative stars here I WOULD!!

I was hoping to get some help with my diagnosis. Dr. Tann then told me he doesn't believe in my diagnosis (which was done by 3 doctors!) after only meeting me for 30 minutes. Never sent in a referral for me to get ANOTHER diagnosis. Talked to me about my fiance's business, my childhood, etc.. Then rushed me out, totally dismissing me and didn't want to see me again for FOUR months!!! Are you kidding!? I'm severely depressed, I've been self harming, and on the verge of crisis! When I brought this to Ian's (the manager of the facility) attention, he said he would "look into it." Three weeks later I get a letter in the mail with him saying he never found it in my records. Honey, I signed a release for Bellin to give you my records! If I didn't have to pay for them I would bring them to you! If you're desperate for help, definitely don't go to Dr. Tann.
You won't get quality and thorough care.

They are not true to what they say to you. They like to play the ring around business with you by saying one thing at this time and go back on there word the next. I'm very disappointed on how my current situation with them has been handled. I'm not satisfied at all!!
