Coming to brothers and sisters in recovery was the best decision I ever made. I have tried getting clean many times in the past 20 years and no matter what I did something was always missing. In my time here I've learned how to strengthen and build my recovery from the ground up to ensure a stable life this time around. Heather is an amazing woman and made sure to make me feel like family from day one. She makes sure we know our responsibilities yet gives us enough space to feel independent in order to be successful on our own. I have been thriving here more than I ever have in my life and feel that I am fully prepared for the next steps thanks to this program.

Coming to Sisters in Recovery was like coming home. It strengthened my sense of self and independence. I've been in recovery housing for almost 3 years, but previously to here, I'd been in strict programs. This is like living in a home with love and support but the opportunity to grow yourself. Heather is one of the rocks in my foundation and gives us all the room we need to be success full while also being there to guide us gently every step of the way.

I don't even have the words to describe how much Sister's in Recovery has changed my life. It was like coming home. It has given me a solid foundation in my recovery, in a home like atmosphere. The ladies here are all so welcoming and loving and TRULY care about each other. There is ALWAYS someone to talk to whether it is about something positive happening in your life or something negative you need help with! It is amazing to be surrounded by these such caring people when you are recovering!

This is from Tiffany Green and I currently live in sisters in recovery and what a wonderful place to be. It has helped me in so many ways that naming them all would be nearly impossible. We all live in unity there and it’s been a blessing. Being there has allowed me to save money and I am going to be moving into my own place but I know I will still see all of them at the meetings we attend.

I believe Heather is a pivotal person in the recovery industry here in the Tri cities. She brings an array of awareness and understanding to the recovery community. We need more people like her in the industry. Her attitude is contagious and heartwarming wherever she goes. It’s always a pleasure watching her thrive as she grows into a pillar in the recovery community.
