I applied for energy assistants in January.I called to find out what was going on. They told me I applied for 'commodities. I did not ! I found my application from January and it is very plain what I was applying for.They want me to do another application which overwhelms me trying to get all the paperwork together again.I am eighty years old so this stresses me out.

They help people with low income but absolutely refused to help me. I knew the minute it was time for me to leave after giving all my information she said “if I have time to look over this tomorrow I will” that it was clear she wasn’t going to help. I risked losing my job leaving early just to go turn in all the information she asked for and Unfortunately that was my last result and my children and I will be homeless. I’m so glad everyone else gets help but very confused why me and my kids didn’t matter.

I absolutely love this place and the people who work there. They have helped me and my family of five 2 or 3 times now. I couldn't be more grateful and thankful to them for everything they do to help me financially with my electric bill considering BTES is outrageously and ridiculously expensive. Idk how BTES expects people to survive and maintain electricity when u charge an arm and a leg for power and heat. Anyways thanks so much to the kind and professional people whom r employed here. I appreciate all u do for me and other people who r seeing some rough and tough times financially ☺☺☺?

They will help with your bills but ask for to much information and all have to be verified..I understand maybe the reasons for this but they should remember where they get their funding.( Tax payers)
