Before I called there and talked to Jennifer I had nothing but negativity happening to me and even though there wasn’t much they could do to help me I was treated with empathy and compassion without judgment. That was what I needed at the time. Thank you

The lady I spoke with was amazing at making me feel like a second rate person. Very good at belittling me n my situation. All I asked was if there is any kind of Christmas funds, maybe help with gift giving so I can make my kids just that much happier and or help with bills. and she said "if i can buy a gift why am I calling? then said she doesn't understand why I'm unable to buy my kids stuff, is there something that needs to be done about me not being able to buy gifts so when I said I could she said she doesn't understand why I'm on her phone" so confused by her. she's made me feel horrible about calling that number. I come from the cities where they offer help with no judgements. All I wanted was help or info but all I got was misunderstandings an hurt feelings
Ill never call again.

Karla is the lady who was unbelievably rude to me. She just called again asking if i found a solution to my need and I got lss and boh mixed up an she started yelling at me saying they dont work with Salem west an I again said yes im sorry I got y'all mixed up n she kept her rude tone an asked if i found a solution to my looking for some holiday help and I said no but i was able to buy a few gifts per child an she again asked why I was on her phone I said how I felt an she said oh well if i have other questions call her an hung up. I'm going above her head to management this womans attitude is not ok to have if she deals with less fortunate ppl

They do a lot for the community and this place is where the warming shelter is. Love what they are doing and hope they can continue their efforts far into the future.
