Do not waste your time. They give certain people assistance and others they rudely tell you that you do not qualufy even if they have to make it up. I am still living down my bad experience with these people i can't get help from no organization its call HARA they may be able to help. From circumventing my case to fraud from sending personal information via the web and a link. I now have fraud. These people discriminate including the complex i was at. I wish i could give zero stars! No accountability at all!!!😩

Worthless, along with DHS. I am a 56 year old, disabled woman. I worked from the age 16 on, the last 25 years as a nurse in long term care. I have been homeless for 3 years. I thought I might finally find home, but the jokes on me. I have Social Security, I just need help with the security deposit. First step, go through DHS. DHS demands a signed lease to assist. I was told because of my income I'd be denied. So go to HARA after DHS turns you down. Guess what? If you've actually signed a lease HARA will not help you. My son was in the same room listening to the phone call. But I heard it correctly " HARA will not assist you if you sign a lease, that's not the way things are done". We'll apparently things are just not done. Someone must be stealing the money meant for the homeless. I can't come up with any other reasoning that makes sense. This country is in for a big shock when thousands of people either just kill themselves, or we band together for a revolution. I worked my butt off for over 31 years. Never asked anyone for help. I'm so tired and discouraged I don't know if I can keep on keeping on. And I finally thought I might be able to get my $800 apartment. After help with security deposit I would no longer need help. But there is no help. But if I was unmarried and had a bunch of illegitimate children I'd have it made. Sad state that country has gotten into. So I'm now useless and I'll just go lay down and die on a park bench. Please don't say I'm being dramatic, I'm not. If I spent every penny of my check on motel rooms I would still be broke 3 weeks into the month and on the street, again. So much for America being the greatest country. It's shameful. I hope I'm not here to witness much more.

I'm just puzzled as to what these people do all day. The assessment I was given said I should be at the top of the list, most likely in a group home. But they must believe everyone is illiterate. I read the entire HARA package and know what it says. They pick and choose who they want to help. Look into their records, I'm sure all their relatives are in public housing leading nice lives. I will continue to spead the message of their incompetence until I'm six feet under. Oh, no life insurance? I'm sure they'll just throw my broken body into river. I hope you all sleep well at night.

I have had terrible experiences with Candace Lisa and Kathy. They've left me in the woods after not paying for my Hotel. Didn't hellp me when I had fraudulent charges on my debit card. Paid bills I didn't authorize them too shorting my money to live on. And several times including today didn't deposit my money on time and refuse to call me after leaving my number and urgent messages several times. I am filing a complaint with the SSA and becoming my own Payee

This place is a joke. And the "senior" food boxes are pathetic. NOTHING good in them, and I mean NOTHING. Its all junk, and alot of it is expired. Cant even make a meal out of it. Theres a few of us who stopped picking up our boxes a long time ago bcuz of it. The "ladies" in the office are rude as hell. ESP THE BLACK LADY. DONT KNOW WHAT HER PROBLEM IS. Dont waste your time with this place.

I can't say I'm thrilled. Not only did Sara deny the application for rental assistance two days before the deadline for the paperwork but she also acted extremely incompetent about her job. I was in the restroom changing my baby and she was in the lobby sitting there. She didn't introduce herself or anything. After 10 min of us sitting there I looked over to her and asked if she was sara. Then during the process of completing the paperwork she was extremely disrespectful. I was in need of help. No uneducated. The whole process was a mess. No Brian's. I also heard from alot of other people they deny damn near everyone
