See rescued wild Mustangs and learn about there fight for survival. This facility provides a long-term home four wild horses. The tour was very nice, but a little pricey, at least it goes to a good cause. The wild turkeys were fun to see. And we got to admire an amazing Petroglyph panel and old school house (would have been nice to have gone in). We also got to see one of the locations for the filming of Hildago.

Wife and I visited while in area - driving in saw 2 herds near the road - so beautiful! Continued to visitor’s center where we had a lovely chat with Theresa in the gift shop, which was ironic as my wife’s name is also Theresa! Wife bought a fair amount from the gift shop and then we wandered around the corrals visiting horses. Ranch hands all greeted us warmly as they went about feeding and shared horse’s names with us. A very peaceful place! Later at home we watched the film about Dayton, the founder. We were moved to sponsor one of the mustangs. Honestly we hadn’t expected much when we took a drive there, but it truly touched our hearts more than we expected it would! Just go, take your time and sit & watch these amazing souls for a while and you’ll see what we mean.

Amazing place! I’d recommend doing a private tour. Our guide was excellent and his wealth of knowledge about the horses and the history made it well worth it.

Was on our way to elsewhere, so dropped by. Wasn't expecting much, but this was so lovely. Got to see the horses ambling by, or running across, some were rolling in the dirt, just horsing around (😂 can't help myself). We got lucky that the horses were quite close to the highway we turned in from, and so we didn't drive in to the sanctuary all the way.

Such a beautiful sanctuary with stunning horses. Drove through on one of my epic road trips with the dogettes and, even though they were closed, the horses came right up to the fence (very curious about the barking fur kids haha). They were absolutely gorgeous and, even though I couldn't get the full sanctuary experience, I have no regrets about driving by!
