This church is phenomenal. I do not feel that they push religion on you. The members do let you know about the Lord but they do not try to force it down so that you attend. The members are wonderful and I was delighted to learn about all the church has to offer. From church services to school to food pantry for the needy and more. This is not a church it’s a multi million dollar “non-profit”. Where does the tithing money go? Where’s the medical care; you know the stuff that Christ actually provided to the people whether they followed him or not? Modesto is a health care desert where ppl are gouged on a daily basis, ER waiting times start at 13 hours and countless folks lose their homes to medical debt. These guys can’t afford a twice a month medical tent? They certainly have the acreage! Surely there are doctors/ dentists in their congregation who could provide some well-subsidized care for these parishioners. But why bother eh? Easier to sell afterlife dreams, and-of course- politics. Two colleagues used to go to the old Calvary Temple and switched to this place only to discover the same wolf in the same sheep costume. Beware of anyone pushing you to give away a percentage of what you make- there will be zero actual return on investment, not for the members anyway 😉😉

I was very disappointed in this church. A friend and I went for the first time two weeks ago and passed by several people who I presume were greeters- posted near and opening doors- and also several different pairs/ groups of men near the cafe/ bathroom once most people had filed in, so the hallways were empty except for them, and was not greeted by one single person. The message itself was well received, but we did not feel welcomed or included. My friend, who is blonde/ blue-eyed, fit right in demographically, I definitely felt out of place. I know these mini mega churches aspire to be the local Hillsong or what have you, but I left feeling unimpressed overall and will not be returning unless it's to join a friend who asks. The stage production with raised cameramen, etc, made worship feel more like a dog and pony show than worship. You can definitely tell who the "stars" of this church are. Overall, if you like a huge production and want to just have somewhere to worship and maybe just fade into the crowd, this is it. For me, this place lacked a sense of sincerity, and it's a hard pass.

This is a great church. There is a wonderful worship band and a great pastor. There are two balconies, another building, and online streaming for the service. It has youth groups that are divided for all wake through life and groups for adults that can help with anything you could possibly be going through.
