The BLT trails are my favorite, and most expansive, for the Bangor area.

......Except when I came within a few tenths of a mile of a black bear on the rail bed separating the lesser known trails a few weeks ago đŸģ That was a first for me and slightly scary. Especially when I had been the only person for 2 or 3 miles.

In other news though, right now the trails need some TLC (especially the preserves outside the Bangor City Forest). If you know someone who lives in the area and is willing to volunteer, do what I did and have them submit a volunteer form. 👍👍

Update: As of writing this post last month, I still haven't heard from anyone from the BLT in regards to my volunteer form đŸĢ¤. I tried calling them and leaving a message, but have been unsuccessful still.
