Have went there for a semester and from the start of me applying and to now my second semester it has been amazing and the staff care a lot about their students and really put the time in effort to help them. Baker has lots of resources and gets back in a timely manner and have people who truly know and have experienced that career teacher the class. This college is cost effective and is very well kept along with the safety always doing an amazing job. Will forever recommend baker college!

The online classes seem great but it’s really unorganized compared to some other schools. I am not fan of how canvass was setup, seems like they shouldn’t allow an online program just yet. No easy way to track your classes, assignments, or deadlines and getting a hold of staff isn’t easy.

Instead of just emailing me that I didn't have a high enough score on my GED to go into a certain program they had me schedule a phone call for a few weeks out, then cancelled that call and scheduled it another week or two out, just to tell me I didn't have a high enough score and that I'd need to take extra classes if I wanted to go into that program. I could have applied to another program in the weeks they made me wait to do a 3 minute phone call that could have been an email

I attend Baker College, I have for the past year and have taken classes at other locations. The staff is well educated and they teach classes they know and classes that pertain to their own work. Half of these reviews are from people who are under educated and cannot write a simple review in an honest way. Baker plans to change their schedules so the classes are 16 weeks like any other College SO CREDITS WILL TRANSFER STARTING SEPTEMBER 2017. I promise this is an amazing school, it is one of the cheapest private schools around (YES PRIVATE CAREER COLLEGE). All the staff I have met are very nice, very busy, and make sure you get what you need. The teachers are the same way, even if a teacher does not like you, they still treat you fairly when it comes to grades. I do recommend Baker College, they have plenty locations to choose from, all offering different programs and some offer the same. They will tell you before hand which locations offer what, and if you should go for the 2, 4, or more years to obtain a degree you can use and not waste time and money going after one you will not need in your future. Baker is always updating their careers available by the amount of need for each one in the world. They only offer careers and programs that people are hiring. I have researched Baker College for a few years prior to attending. The dorms on the Flint campus are nice, clean, and well kept on the off seasons and during breaks. Baker College is worth the time, effort, and money.

I am a current Engineering student at the Flint Campus. This place sucks. Those in higher positions only care about money, the staff are either uninterested, mean-spirited, or just there to collect a paycheck, and the academic office is useless. Basically all the staff here need to be fired and a new crew brought on. I had a teacher who literally said that our Baker degree is useless. How am I supposed to be motivated to learn anything if the teachers are belittling us?

They also switched to all-online math. No more paper and pencil. The only reason I come to campus is because I learn better hands on, not online. No one will listen.

Not only that, but the condition of the school is terrible! Cracked walls, bugs everywhere, cafeteria food barely cooked right, and the dorms, from what I have heard and seen, are atrocious!

Honestly this school needs to be shut down or have a complete overhaul of their system and staff.

I read all the negative reviews, but honestly, I see the opposite. Baker college is the best of everything. The staffs are educated, nice, and incredibly helpful. The campus always clean even the bathrooms and the class rooms, the most important thing is ( no racism ). And the student are sweet they also helpful. The professors are encouraging, respectful, and humble. they just want u to achieve your goal and be successful. Some of them has self humor, some of them just serious.
I'm so glad for attending baker collage that was the best decision I ever made in my life .
After all if u want to achieve ur goal all what u have to do is work hard and be positive. Good luck. 🙂

My time at Baker College was mostly filled with positive experiences. Most of the instructors went out of their way to ensure you were properly understanding course material. I found the coursework to be challenging and not boring. Most of the time instructors promoted thought provoking tasks and interaction among the other students. I saw some other reviews complaining about budgets and smart spending... This is how colleges should be operating in order to try to keep tuition low. I wish state institutions were the same.

I attended Baker College after transferring from ITT TECH, where Baker unlike other schools accepted 50% of my credits so I wouldn't start over from scratch. I have had some good instructors and some bad ones. just like any other college. I don't agree with some things that they have as far as POLICY but overall they work with students and offer an education equal to the students effort that is put in. I don't agree with the amount of work that is unbalanced from online vs on ground classes but the education overall is quality and up to date with current industry standards. I love the people that work there they are at all time professional. Now that they are transitioning to semesters from quarters my credits will be available to transfer.
