North Oakland Village is a community of seniors supporting one another through the Aging Better mindset. Offering membership and volunteer opportunities for folks who want to expand friendships and engagement in Oakland regardless of age. "If you are disabled, this is not the right fit. You have to be pretty healthy to participate in our programs," we were told by a very rude receptionist. This is an ableist organization. If you were seduced by their marketing, look somewhere else, it's not real.
