I went here for the first time today and I was so excited! Taylor greeted me and explained how the store worked and all it’s bits and pieces. I was so overwhelmed with the amazing organization and selection this store provided and I left with a haul of goodies! I can’t wait to be back and I’ll definitely be donating items!

Attended the Annual Fall Fabric sale in September 2020 - Great selection and interesting fabric finds. Manager Stevie makes you feel welcome.
(2017- It's been more than ten years since I visited the place. Service was great. The staff was helpful, made some good suggestions. I went there to get some lining fabric. But I found much more than that. I found eleven nice precut pieces of fabric (1/2 yards, 1 yard, 2 yards, and 3 yards), along with some upholstery sample packs. I also found 11 spools of thread, elastic, a checkfile, chain/jewelry making components, picture frame, display stand, pegboard hooks, ink pads, chipboard diecuts, acrylic paint, two storage bins, an Easter foamie chick, an "S" foam letter, craft scissors, and color pencils. Most of the items were slightly used and the rest was brand new. Total was under $20, which would have been more at the craft stores. It was a great deal. I will be back in the future.)

What a gem for our community. I’m a local preschool teacher and always find fun materials to add to our classroom. Cards, envelopes, and other stationary supplies for our writing area. Tubes and loose parts for our block area. Mystery surprises for our house area. Fabric for tablecloths and classroom decor for holidays. Beads and beads and beads for my little bracelet makers. Arts & Scraps has been the number one supplier for our classroom for years. My art loving daughter loves to find her own treasures, we recently made a pen-pal kit for her friend who was moving out of state. Can’t say enough good things about this place, Stevie is wonderful.

I really, really like this place. It's great for the community and for teachers, for artists ect. However, I've been bringing home fleas from the fabric selection, or flea remnants like flea dirt, eggs, and dead fleas. I end up throwing away the items that are really affected or have a live flea. I know that everything is donated and bugs are inevitable, but also there are ways to mitigate this issue within the store. I always deep wash my stuff and dry on the hottest setting; I'm still worried about it due to eggs. Flea dirt (poop) stains items, and its frustrating to wash something and have it come out dirtier . I think looking into low cost options like vacuum sealing certain vulnerable items in a very hot (120F+) environment, using a pesticide like permetherin spray topically, or finding a better storage system for fabric and yarn ( the most vulnerable items), are good options. I know bug control is expensive and bug bombs might not be an option financially, but I'm nervous to shop here because of my experiences the past 3 months. I think even listing what youre doing for this issue on your website would bring me more at ease. I look for fleece, but i also pick up other items. I want to be conscious of my use, because fabric is often thrown away, but the bug thing makes me want to just go buy new fabric to make sure the stuff I make is safe!! I do a lot of thrifting so I'm careful for sure. I make sure i do my due diligence of washing/bagging items, but also it's the stores responsibility too. I want people to go here, so I write this reluctantly. I'm on hold in recommending this place for others, or recommending donations since this has been my most recent experience :/
