Beautiful, serene and peaceful place. We went here in a Sunday afternoon and it was very quiet. There were few folks who were taking part in the retreat. Very clean and well maintained area.

This is truly a patch of heaven. The tulip and serenity garden are marvelous. Not huge, but wonderful and serene. The temple in the garden is superb with a world class view. The volunteers are super friendly and the drive is stupendous. Go.

We visited the tulips in the garden and it was absolutely breath taking. Then we visited the lovely gift store and finally ended at the little market/park that's close by to eat lunch at the park there. A very enjoyable time.

As a Y.O.U. Member, a group of us teenagers visited this place. I got “Autiobiography of A Western Yogi” as a gift. The first time I saw Yogananda’s “last smile” photo, I thought he was a woman. I have several of Yogananda’s books. He writes some of the highest thoughts I have ever read. I’m glad to see this place still exists!

I was told that the tulip gardens were special, that is an understatement. They are spectacular. I can imagine that even with no tulips the grounds would be very peaceful. The hospitality of the staff was great, welcoming. I enjoyed my visit.

An Amazing Retreat Sanctuary located outside of Nevada City. Visited the Market and Gift Shop after spending time at the Hermitage Gardens located nearby.

Fridays they make a really good vegetarian homemade pizza!

There is a great market were you can find almost everything. It's peaceful, smoke free, great place to have an enjoyable lunch or an early dinner and great people.
