Some wait time if you don’t have appt. A little confusion if a Rep is readily (on-site) available since office is in Social Services Bldg. Once seen everything was great. Rep very helpful.

I have called, left voicemails, and emailed multiple times over the span of 3 months (since LATE MAY) and have yet to receive any response from anyone. SO frustrating as I am unable to even go to the physical location.

Like another review said, the Veteran's Services Office is hard to find. There is no signage anywhere. When you find Suite 143 (it's the Adult and Aging Services Center on the lower level of the interior "mall" space), go in and ask for Veterans Services. It is one office that is tucked inside. Once I found the office, Adelheid was very friendly and helpful.

Got to the building where this place is located 10 minutes before closing. There is not a single mention of the veterans office on any of the directional maps on the building. So I wondered sing for about 7 minutes looking at the sign on every door went through the whole place checked every single place upstairs and down. None say Veterans office. I finally saw a security guard and asked them and they said it's in the social services and adult services office. When you get in there, still no mention of Veterans services. So I asked the sheriff's office people and they said you have to call them on the phone AND LEAVE A MESSAGE! So you will have no idea when or if they will serve you. There are only three phones so I waited in line for the phones. I finally got on one of the phones. The weird looking white one all the way to the right but it didn't work. Now it's already 3 minutes past closing. I call from the next phone that became free, left a message but it was too late for the day. Had to come back another day. >: /

It's a good place to go to receive and learn about county services for Alameda county. Remember to follow the signs in the lobby or ask the security guard if you get confused on just where to go.

Turn in my claims document that took months to assemble only for them to shred it due to 3 day waiting period for documents they did not tell me about and then never contact me, guy even told me to keep trying after shredding my claims packet.

I basically have the same description as the first review, I wish there was less than one star for their service. This place is just as useless and absolutely don't care about helping you just as much as the VA. Garbage.

The Veterans office is located in an old mall and is hard to find. However, the security personnel were exceptionally helpful and polite. I strongly recommend asking them for help.
