We have been helped by this Nonprofit Senior Service Agency for more than 10 years. Short story, they are always happy to mail us our Medicare and You annual booklet to our temporary address because the Federal Government will not forward it to a temporary address. These people know their stuff, they are kind and compassionate. Highly recommended for any senior needing some personalized help in this world where so much is online and hard to navigate.

I was very thankful for Ageway at first then I haven't had any consistenty with them sending Me health care workers,and never a call back within 48 hours,now I'm just getting out of the hospital and they sent me a letter saying I'm not eligible, I'm so confused thought they were here to help, guess not.

This is the worst company I have ever seen. My son has the worst food meals for a borderline diabetic and the worst transportation company i have ever been a passenger in. He had a specific pickup time and they changed it and he was picked up with me a half an hour later than their pick up time. Lucy the case manager has not helped him get the correct foodstamps benefits since he's lived there for 5 + years.

This organization is helping me with my mother. They reach out every month they make sure everybody is doing the job that they’ve hired them to do and I’ve had great experience with the lady that is in charge of my case. The people that they hire have a heart for this. The people bringing the meals on wheels are actually volunteers that are super successful I’ve had realtors GM executives and bosses from other car companies that have actually taken their lunches to drop food off at peoples houses. So wonderful wonderful gift to volunteer

AA1b has contracts with a few Home Health Care providers. New to Oakland county I applied for the services that funding is provided for. The Meals On Wheels program is so welcomed and the volunteers who deliver go above & beyond. The other services offered have been promised since Dec 2016. I've received 3 days of Home Care this past spring that the employees quit the company's AA1b is contracted with for minimum wage, this care is demanding, physical and often emotionally draining. Due to the wages there's a Home Health Care crisis in Oakland County! OLSHA does contract with AA1b, yet they fail to follow through with promised grab bars, carbon monoxide detectors. The people at and involved with AA1b are a wonderful group although I am not sure why they tell those in need the wait list is 4-6 weeks, yet the wait is years, and many in need to have quality of life and such limited resources to remain independent. Most of the problems exist due to minimum wage and a statewide shortage of caregivers. Governor Gretchen Whitmer's recent slashing of funding further decreases support for our disabled and senior citizens!

My 81 year old mom got service for housecleaning and cooking through this joke of an organization; the workers are unreliable. Each one assigned eventually becomes a no-show or doesn't do a good job. Such a waste.

This agency has done SO much for me! University of Michigan Home visitors referred me to Area Agency on Aging They are polite and really listen
i I urge those who are being helped by them contribute monthly to them. They are non profit and money is not abundant to support these wonderful people!
