IT'S JANUARY BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF FUNDING IN THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR? IM A SENIOR CITIZEN WITH NO INCOME AND WAS DENIED FUNDING. IS THERE A REASON WHY NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE AND NO ONE RETURN CALLS? ITS THE COMMUNITY THAT NEEDS ASSISTANCE THAT ALLOWS SPECTRUM AND THEIR EMPLOYEES TO BE EMPLOYED CORRECT? HOW MUCH FUNDING WAS RECEIVED FOR THE PROGRAM IN 2024? IS THAT PUBLIC INFORMATION? WILL YOU BE SHORT OF FUNDING EVERY YEAR? WHO QUALIFIES? OVER 65? MOTHERS WITH SMALL CHILDREN? IF YOU RECEIVE SERVICES LAST YEAR NO SERVICES THIS YEAR? WHAT? THE COMMUNITY HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW!

Since when do NO INCOME do not qualify when it is less greater than low income!!? I was also told there were no funds available and to try next year while facing a 15 day shut off notice than a 48 hr. Notice to pay $117. They could not/did not pay for me.

Justice from reader, initially I was contacted by phone and they directed me to apply online. Then I applied online and next week they sent by mail paperwork application, I filled and faxed to them. Non stop different forms keep coming each week for more than a month and mostly duplicate forms that they requested. I sent by fax each pages cost $2 for fastest delivery. Then they said the application is denied.

I was asked why?
“Because of requirements priority criteria & limited funds”. If they have no funds, why requested so many paperwork. And the criteria was like in the family members disability, minor kids, income, shut off noticed from service providers ……..
all mentioned required criteria we qualified.

Services consisted of a new heating system, new smoke detectors, new light bulbs and a new carbon monoxide unit. Anthony and Bryant were very professional. They respected my Covid 19 mask mandate and also wore shoe coverings because of my religious beliefs. Thank you Spectrum Community Services for assisting me with these services it was very much appreciated. Thank you Anthony and Bryant you guys rock! I felt very comfortable with having you guys in my home.

Never answer the phone! Office hours listed are incorrect, they are open until 3:30 pm. They take a lunch sometime throughout the day and their lunch hours are not listed so you end up waiting. Thus far Denise is the only one who has been able to reach out to me in nearly a week and she was even able to set up an appointment for me

Spectrum is a non-profit organization that can help you with your electric bill and they also prepare great meals for the elderly that's distributed here in my area in West Oakland they're non-profit organization is in Hayward California PO box 4317 Hayward California 94 641 give them the call sometime I believe they also do weather stripping weatherization for your homes
By the way you still have to continue to pay the bill your electric bill and once you've completed the forms call the phone number and which I don't have at hand but just give them a call and request paperwork to so they can help you pay your electric bill but in the meantime you still have to continue to pay your bill and you'll be credited somehow I mean once the paperwork has been returned to them you'll be credited for I don't know how many months but at one time I was credited for 3 months and it was worth having to pay the months that I needed to be paid cuz further than that they paid the 3 months I
