great little hidden trails in Winter Haven. Not very big and it will get muddy and flooded but it is a beautiful area. There are beautiful lake views and we have seen foxes and owls here. Last time we were here there was a lot of downed tree limbs from the storm and I’m not sure if they have been picked up yet or not. Be sure to pack your mosquito repellent though, otherwise you’ll get eaten. The trails are dog friendly. There is a grassy area for parking. No pavement

I've been coming here off and on for years. It's got pros and cons. Some of the trails are always wet and muddy. You can't walk past a certain point. Others are drier and better. There's a nice spot on the lake where you can fish or sit on a nice bench. There's a little area with a roof over to eat if you have a family and bring a lunch. Trails today we're narrow and not as wide as they've been in the past making it a little hard to navigate. Still for the view on the lake alone it's worth a visit.

This is a hidden gem in the middle of a neighborhood. I love walking my dog there. You can get lost, but the trails always leads you out. Small but you feel surrounded by nature. There is a lake area that is nice to just sit and relax. The trips are being cleared out easier to navigate. Love this plsce. A short drive and it makes you feel grounded and centered.

My favorite place to be. I live right down the road and spend a lot of my time here. It's a special reserve in a sea of urbanization. I hike out here a lot to get away

I was delighted to find such a quiet natural place in the heart of Winter Haven. The trails wind through oak woods, bamboo groves and a lake floodplane. The floodplane tends to be moist so wear good shoes. Walking through the mud is worth it to find a beautiful bench overlooking the lake where bald eagles soar. The only negatives I have were that some of the trails seemed overgrown and there were no maps or blazes. I still will be heading back!
