Absolute go to if you’re new to adopting an animal. Everybody involved in the process was super kind and were quick to explain any question I had at all. They quickly matched me with the cat I had my eye on, and the volunteers are also very knowledgeable and gave me specifics on his personality and what method would be best for stuff like nail trimming, diet, etc. Overall it was a fairly simple process to get my new, happy cat.

I was just dropping off a donation from our yard sale. They do good work. Among other things, they have the special kidney food for cats. If you can't pay, you don't have to.

Stay away from this place! They are money hungry and not a good Service.

Let me tell a story:

A friend recently found kittens and a mothher under her deck in a nearby town. She took the kittens in, cared for them and paid her own money to help them.

She already had other cats; so PAWS came and took the mother. Anyway, my friend loved and cared for these kittens and they enjoyed being in her home. I know bc I saw all the photos.

My friend WANTED TO ADOPT THEM- and again, she put in her OWN money to help and care for the cats while she FOSTERED THEM and was not reimbursed for any of it. She was actually fine with that bc she figured she would keep them. And think about it, they would have been HAPPY WITH her bc they had been Living with her a while and had gotten used to her home.

When she told PAWS they told her she had to PAY AN ADOPTION FEE OF $300 for each CAT!! Really!? They were found ON HER PROPERTY AND SHE CARED FOR THEM with her own time and money and was not reimbursed. She could not believe- considering she had been fostering them- that PAWS wouldn’t give her a break or at least let her adopt them for half that.

Needless to say, my friend could not afford to pay $600. I’m sorry but that’s crazy- if the kittens LIVED there- why move them Especially since they were found on her property.

They are much better places to get pets from; go elsewhere.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I wanted a specific cat. I couldn't go to the meet and greet but was told that I could meet the cat as soon as I could and put my application in. I did that a couple days before the meet and greet. I specifically wanted this cat. If he was a good fit, I hat planned on going with him.
I was told by Gloria I could meet him in the fosters home as I could not go to the meet and greet. I was the first one to put my application in on this handsome boy. I am beyond upset that they decided to go with someone else. They should've allowed me to meet him first and tell the other person they were second in line.
This was not professional at all. I would not adopt a flea from this place.
I will go with Sweet Paws where they do put you on a list and you move up after each viewing and if you're interested in a cat they have you meet the animal in the fosters home first. If someone else is interested they have to wait for you to meet the animal.
Never have I ever been so disappointed in an organization.

A friend wasn’t told about a cat’s health issue until after they paid. medical records incomplete and they asked for a donation after charging the 350.00 adoption fee. Bio on the cat didn’t disclose the truth and they didn’t say the cat was returned from another family after a week or why. All they said is that you are free to return the cat- who does that to the innocent cat?
