Ive never in my life seen such a rude and nasty lady name Jackie that works for salvation army I've always known their workers to be nice and kind hearted from the time this lady open the door she has been really nasty loud talking to the elderly people talking down and talking to everyone like they are her kids making people feel bad because they have no choice but to deal with Jackie since they are in need of help so everyone is just holding on to their pride just to get help the guy that's doing the in take is very nice the Jackie and the other lady don't need to be part of an organization that help families their customer service sucks very bad if you don't like to deal with the public like Jackie this job is not for her at all she need to be ashamed of herself I

If the reception likes you-you get help .if she doesn't like you, you get too little info to apply. I waited 4 hours just to be told I don't have all the paperwork I need. It was just here yesterday I came in and asked four different times what information I need. I asked Clearly for the information and she Only gave me partial information so that I would fail. Thank you very much for wasting 4 hours of my time and energy. When you knew an advance you were going to make it difficult for me.

This was awful. I was forced into being recognized as part of the household that my landlord is and I recieved nothing. They just gave additional food to my landlord. I usually walk on my own and the day I get a ride I have to figure out what else to do now. Are there other food banks in the area?

This program has been such a blessing to our family. The youth program has given our son so many opportunities to socialize in a safe environment and the social services program has help our home in numerous ways since becoming involved just 9mnths ago. We are so thankful and grateful to this ministry and all the staff.
Thank You,
The Pulley-Salter Family

Came here for a cooling center. The web site says they offer a meal too. When I got there, the receptionist ignored me as well as everyone else. It was cool though, very cool.

Willing to help elderly but have yet to help our family of 5 4 months ago had a $300 shut-off notice for electricity they refused to help because I had no reason why I couldn't pay when my electricity is 300 every month my rent is 1090 my water 45 cell phone 105 with 3 kids we go through $600 in food a month not counting the two adults we have a 1994 Nissan Sentra that barely runs it sucks $60 of gas a week monthly I make only around 2,000 with a minimum wage job but yet I'm unqualified for their assistance my neighbor has gone for them for help when he was an alcoholic he spent all his money on alcohol and could not pay his rent they without questioning helped him instantly with us they're making us had valid reasoning Plus proof of a tragedy or loss of income I make too much for State assistance but not enough to support my family the last year I have managed to pay everything the last 2 months my electricity bill has been 500 every month I've been able to pay little but little to where it adds to only seven hundred this month they still continue to refuse help to us I see plenty of people on here getting help monthly with bills clothes food Etc but yet my family who have electricity shut off in 100 degree weather because we did not find a reasonable reason why we can't afford a $700 electricity bill when I can't even barely afford to feed my kids on $2,000 a month but yet I had to have a reason why I can't afford half of my minimum wage monthly income to an electricity bill I think only making $2,000 a month and having a $700 electricity bill with five human beings living in one household with one car is not good enough yet I'm only 27 so I'm not old enough for them to help
