This is the nastiest place that I’ve ever been to in my entire life. I’m a believer but they still stuff Jesus down your throat at every single chance that they get with forced chapel services twice a day. If you have choice to sleep here or in a box, I’d choose the box. They are all illiterate reformed crackheads who have no licenses or credentials to teach anything, especially religion. They berate you and degrade you by calling you every name but a child of God and constantly tell you everything you do wrong when they don’t even know you. The churches should know how the staff treats their residents which is deplorable and childish. This entire place needs to either have new staff that is actually qualified to counsel women from traumatic and abusive backgrounds. Half of the staff members are homeless and unemployed themselves and barely finished high school if any schooling at all. Vivienne is the wicked witch of the west, Sharon (the director) walks around with her nose in the air with her baggy jeans, Ginger is a previous addict, and the rest are so insignificant that they don’t even matter. Even called the police after chapel at 9:00pm to kick me out and stating lies. God will deal with them and their treatment of others in the end. They all need to be reported expeditiously.

This place is so amazing! such a friendly and loving staff. You will feel like you're part of a family. The food is amazing and the whole building is very clean with all updated furniture. If you're in need of a safe place to get healing or support I highly recommend this place, it will change your life.

Truly the most painful experience I have ever had, outside of childbirth. I got no Compassion, or help for my physical disabilities. I left hungry, tired, and in great pain, with bites from the lumpy, obviously infested mattress. The only staff person who actually let me finish a sentence was Sharon Rose. Thank you to her. The focus is on addicts, not anyone else, from what I saw. I am just an always clean older lady needing help. This is not the place for everyone, I understand. But, the complete ignorance of any ADA compliance is illegal and dangerous. I can not sit up straight for long, without great pain. There was no place to eat, for me. Vivian is power-tripping, speaks down to me. I am shocked by the whole experience. I was cruelly dismissed when I tried to explain my disabilities. Horrible experience, I left my clothes and brand new towel and blanket. Did not want to bring bedbugs with me.

The short term residential program is fine. However signing a contract of discipleship ensuring long term homelessness is not wise. Buyer Beware

I understand it is a Women's Shelter not only a Homeless Shelter. Seems significant to point out. They make a tough job look easy. Clean and engaging with many opportunities to learn and share the learning. I owe a debt of gratitude, to God the Glory and the Praises!

I volunteer here and have been doing it for a year now. I come often and have dinner with the women and the leaders of Hope Cottage. It's a very well-kept homie kind of place. The staff is incredibly friendly and so very kind. It feels so good to be a part of something so great! Thank you hope cottage for everything that you do in our community! If you want to get involved in volunteering I suggest that you contact the people at Hope Cottage. I hope that you consider donating gently-used items, finances, or your time to this wonderful place!

The workers are actually very hypocritical. See one of the workers Vivian sat there talking about how she does drugs and when she was on drugs and how she sat there and she was smoking joints and stuff. None of the girls are allowed to do anything which is perfectly okay because I mean that's understandable. But she said a lot of the reason that they are homeless is because they were on drugs and I find that faith-based hypocrisy
