When I needed some furniture for my new flat, my housing association directed me to
'Edinburgh Furniture Initiative' on Gorgie Road.
I was amazed by the selection of pre-owned or donated furniture, which all appeared to be in good condition and very reasonably priced.
I had a fixed budget, but was very lucky to almost immediately find what I was looking for, in to furnish my empty sitting room.
The staff were very friendly and arranged for my furniture to be delivered, which it was on the day I requested, and the delivery guys, were very efficient carrying my stuff upstairs, to my flat.
If I need anything else, I'll definitely check EFI first, before paying the high prices of the mainstream retailers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awful shop. Also has a really bad smell floating around. The pricing is particularly bad, who ever is doing that clearly has no clue what they are doing.

They wouldn't accept my items.
Things can't be dismantled and they have no room to store wardrobes at present. Pretty unhelpful.

Whoever is pricing items doesn’t have a clue what they are worth You will sell more if its at good prices

Prices are ridiculous on most non antique items and antiques ?

You get donations if you sell them cheaper then you will sell more and get more for the charity, Thats the logical way.

Used to buy a lot of stuff from here, not now unfortunately?

Don’t you want to make money for charity?

Used to get a desk etc for £10 and now they would charge £45 for a similar desk, It’s absolutely ridiculous.

And a guitar with a missing string £20 and its not even worth that 🙁

Used to come here because it was the best charity shop about, Now its becoming like the rest which is extremely sad 🙁

You price things too high now, about a half year to a year ago prices were much more suitable & appealing

Super friendly and helpful staff. I forgot my tape measure and one of the team lent me one. Fantastic stock, a real gem! Ordered a wardrobe and it was delivered the next day. Both warehouse and delivery staff were lovely. I would highly recommend them.
