The entire staff is wonderful and has made my family very happy that we choose The Terraces for my mom to live. There is always some type of activity going on to keep the residents as busy as they want to be... The rooms and apartments are updated and very comfortable. The grounds are a safe environment, which is so important, along with having a staff who cares.

This was my second surgery rehab stay at The Terraces. This facility and its staff are fantastic! The room, the meals, the administrative staff, the medical staff and the therapy staff are the best ever! One could not expect to be treated better or with more kindness and courtesy at the best resort in the world than how I was treated here. I sincerely hope I will not need a rehab facility in the future, but if I do, I will do everything I can to return to The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens!!!

I moved into The Terraces in June of 2022,and I love it. The management is great and I enjoy
my lovely apartment in the Tuscany area. After ruthlessly downsizing my possessions, I
feel at home without all the worries of repairs and maintenance. I have everything that I need. What I particularly enjoy is not having so many bills to pay each month. Included in
our monthly rent is basic cable T.V., PG&E,
water & garbage, all meals, housekeeping, and access to a small onsite market where we can purchase items with our food points
This is one of the best decisions I have made
in my senior years!!!!!

Beaming reviews from able-bodied residents, but note the 1-star reviews all have ties to the care (or lack-thereof) in their skilled nursing facility- and they’re warranted. Lack of timely care, coupled with apathy from supposed caregivers make a 1-star review generous. Rude comments to a family member recently discharged from their care ranged from “now what do we want?” to “we’re too busy now”. In a recent visit he was served cold food, and given a cold approach from those charged with his care which I witnessed first hand.

To the personnel there- do better and offer these patients the respect and dignity they deserve.

I helped my mom make the transition to the Terraces this summer, and it has been a wonderful experience. I don't hesitate to recommend the Terraces to anyone, and I am thankful my mom is living there. The staff is exceptional and they are with you every step of the way through your application and move in. They are not pushy - they are helpful and genuine. The most lovely people. My mom has settled in well and one short month later feels part of the community. The residents at the Terraces are just as phenominal as the staff! They are friendly and welcoming. For example, if someone is sitting alone at dinner, it won't be long before they are invited to sit with a group of others who are eating together. The Terraces offers a long list social activities and exercise classes. I often say to my mom that the Terraces feels like a little bit of heaven on Earth. And an unexpected benefit I look forward to is having the Terraces be my mom's partner in the aging process. It is not just a place to live, but a team of loving, helpful, knowledgeable, professionals who will be a source of information and support over the years. I could say so much more about our fabulous experience, and I am wondering when they will open a Terraces community for young professionals with kids. I'd move in!

My dad died while under their care at the skilled nursing facility. Never got any condolences or words from the facility. Not a card, a phone call, nothing. Disappointed in thinking that they would’ve cared.

TSJG is a really great place to come to and live and know your worries about home maintenance is gone. There is a place for you to fit in very easily here no matter if you are fully able to do anything to needing help. CCRC's are really wonderful here and the care for people is exceptional. Love the staff and love the response from Alexa on any problem. They are fully transparent about where our $'s are going on a monthly basis and I really appreciate that. We just left our place for a 6 week vacation to Spain and Scotland and we came home to our place and it was clean and spotless. No worries while we were gone.

After discussing our personal goals for the last couple of decades of life, my husband Fred and I researched several retirement places. We soon learned about HumanGood and began researching almost all of them. We lived 1 hour from Fresno and were happy that The Terraces is right here in "our" Fresno. We eventually focused on this one location and then really dug in with our research. We met with Sales people(Ruthie, Robyn and Emilee are amazing and beyond helpful really!) Ruthie suggested we do the financial analysis to start and I highly recommend that. You just don't know if you qualify. I found that part to be confusing but Ruthie was excellent at helping us review our finances. We also needed to sell our home and , she factored that in to our analysis. We then saw how easy this is---of course selling the home and moving the stuff is tough if you let it be. So--we put a deposit on a certain floor plan here at the Terraces, we put the house on the market and our home sold to the first person in a day or two. We called Ruthie and said "EEK" we sold fast and have to move....our deposited place was not yet available, but she was undeterred. She said, come on over I will think of something! She and Alexis had it all figured out---and we are now in a different floor plan in a different building than we expected, but we are very very happy! Gentle Transitions company was very good and fast!(packing and unpacking) What a help that was.
I chose not to get to overwhelmed by the move. We are actually amazed at our peace and happiness here....yes we miss what we left, but we do not have to take care of property and home. Here, we can have our alone time in our apartment, we can have lots of social things if we want, or we can just walk about the grounds which are amazingly beautiful. I am happy to answer questions and concerns, you can arrange that through the Sales office if necessary. Thank You Terraces staff----Peggy Cochran
