My experience with Phoenix Landing was outright horrible. First off the mostly Hispanic staff sits in the office gossiping about the clients, violating thier rights to confidentiality. Second, the staff is racist, and bias in the treatment of clients. Third, they serve expired food, then this expired food is not refrigerated. It's already expired yet is served unrefrigerated from behind the counter daily. Then left stacked on the food counter at night. The services that are listed are a joke. Your housed and supervised and searched as if you're a criminal. I had a vehicle, as many do there and we had to bring in our registration and insurance to be allowed inside, us blacks, because no one else had to comply with this rule after that. Some cars don't even have registration today. Nor is it required of them back to the services, staff is here to babysit, no compassion, or kindness is exhibited. You have to walk on eggshells to survive. Like a jail. All services are held back so to be given to those of Hispanic race. All the good housing and they forget to search thier own kind allowing them to bring in items not allowed to other races. I had a problem with another client and sought the help of the staff and the staff wouldn't take me serious. As a matter of fact they laughed at me. I went to seek help twice, nothing so I called police and they told police not to come, that they would handle it, yet they handled nothing. This client kept pushing me with her body all in my face. This eventually escalated and she hit me. I defended myself and of course we both got kicked out. If the staff would have done thier jobs it could have had a better outcome. I feel as if my rights have been repeatedly been violated and the rules changed again and again to suit the assumptions the staff has come to at the time. Then they try to paint me as the social normal black person Wich is racist in itself.
This place isn't for everyone. The Caucasians were even complaining and shouting they were being discriminated against. A white man died in the shower from a fentanyl overdose and was in the shower dead for three whole days! Unbelievable! This place is not ready to help anyone The owner was arrested for embezzlement of funds. You make your determination. Staff is only there for a paycheck. Maria the director, there for a paycheck. Zero zero zero stars for Phoenix landing and HR community builders. Medical is getting milked and clients are getting discrimination lawsuits to file

I can barely even give it 1 star. The food is expired alot here, and then some disgruntled women in the shelter will go and spread rumors about you and then the staff members will get mad and pop a drug test on you for no reason and have you put out the shelter for no reason, all because they are MAD because they didn't get a tax return!

Hello. This is my first experience here at Rescue the Children.
From my observation, the staff isn't kind. The staff are not caring. They pretend.
I've seen a lot a bias conduct, favoritism, and dishonesty within the staff alone. A lot of the staff members are insecure, unfortunately projected this behavior towards guest. Not to mention the volunteers in the women's program. Expired food is served here. I've had food poisoning. Water has been added to the coconut milk/milk to stretch by the volunteers. They are/have been rude disrespectful, just out right mean heartless inconsiderate with a lack of compassion, and very artificial. I could go on and on but you'd read miles and miles of pages. One of the volunteers used the f word and all staff and other volunteers turned the other cheek and she's still allowed to volunteer on this side where is the discipline. One staff particularly lies, to cover for particular volunteers from women's program. And some both staff/volunteers bully guests (me being one guests).

I borrowed my friend's phone to do this... Ms. R.A.E. Tejeda is my file name.
The secretaries at R.T.C. (Rescue The Children) have too much mouthy words, belittling, and gaslighting the PATIENTS (All women patients and some with children; beginning with newborns to the pregnant and Elderly) here at C.C.P. (Community Care PROVIDERS). Immediately and EVERY day I was harassed by tag team Jasmine Marie Calderon (saying, "did you get that?") and Nicole, while "recruiting" the other women "not part of the community" & "from off the street", & "You're still considered homeless" & answering the phone "C.C.P.", "God's not going to BLESS you then if you don't at least help clean this place up", Even though they pressed "Christian based with, what felt like forced prayer & and forced Exposure to personal information about HOW MUCH we really make, but USING God's good name by calling it Faith and Finances to get you to "straighten out your finances but with God's help" & "I can speak to YOU any way I want"... 11 in my room. . in in an Abusive manner, by the secretaries who answered the phone "C.C.P." for tax payers monies, but only doing bare minimum at 2320 location. There are black pamphlets at the door. I thought this location was a "family assistance program".
CEO, Matt Deldine is the OWNER and personally responsible for these "Rescue Mission" programs, to assist and Respectfully give US options to flee Homelessness or abusive environments, which end our lives when alone. He took me, pregnant, from the dining area and, without verifying space anywhere, let me stay at the men's facility until there WAS an option.
I am grateful to Mr Deldine. I am sorely disappointed in the R.T.C. At 2320 W CA Weldon in Fresno, CA 93705. I am impressed with the men's program's progress and brotherly encouragement, even with myself. Although the program at the G street addresses was "for the MEN", I was still treated with respect.
