What can I say, I love this place. I love the work they do. I bring my Community Kids here to practice & learn job skills. If you’re looking for a place to support either with your time or money, or both, you will be making a huge difference in helping them to get more people helped!

I love this place. But today I recieved some boars head beef hot dogs. I used to work for boars head so I know how good their products are. The hot dogs were recalled because of LISTERIA. THE EXPIRATION DATE IS JUNE 30. PEOPLE DIED FROM THIS. I've bee. Trying to call to let someone know but all the mailboxes are full. Anyone reading this that got some PLEASE throw away

Our of date food. Spoiled milk, spoiled ground turkey. Whitch made my 2 boys sick for 3 days. the Christmas ham they gave us when I opened it it was green. Smelled like death. Every load of bread is squished.Only thing that is edible is the canned goods.

This food pantry is well stocked and has friendly volunteer staff! Clients choose different clothing and food options. I believe every pantry service should visit Sweetwater Mission to see how a food pantry should be ran😊

I went to sweetwater foods pantry today, as I have been since Covid. I’m a grandmother that is raising my 4 grand children so every now and then I go there to get help to stretch food until I’m able to get grocery on my on. I don’t go to the mission every month pulling up in Mercedes and huge SUV and 15 people in my car and abuse it like others I only go when I need help. So I get there I noticed the Spanish lady in front of me no problem, then it was her turn to show I’d and proof of residency. The Spanish young lady come to her window and she gets out and they are speaking Spanish not knowing I’m fluent in it my self they discussed her getting extra. I didn’t say anything not my business. I see her give 4 baskets and a slew of diapers. So then the Spanish young lady comes to my window I give my info mind you I’ve been registered with them for while nothings changed. So I asked may get some diapers and told her the size we don’t have any she replied and I asked for a box of cereal. She went on I can’t because you have to get stamps and Medicaid. She said again no and oh well then she proceeded to move the cone to let me out the line with all the expired loaves bread and can goods since 2021 even had milk that had been sitting out side in the cart to the point the carton was swollen. So I went to the office to share my grievances. So when I saw there’s nothing going to be done about it. I left was just in ahh of what just happened. See the mission get a tax right off for every head that comes through there and they capitalize at the end of each year they receive their funds to replenish but these foods items I received today has been in the ware house since Covid according to expiration date. So I was only able to use maybe 2items out it all. I say all of this to say The Spanish young lady was rude and lookout for only her people. If your going to help some one help them with a smile and not as if something is coming out of your pocket or their not same race as you. It’s sad how this place has went from sugar to… well you know rest.

This place has ways been helpful in the time of need for my family. Over the years the rules have changed but only to better the service. You must have all your info of everyone in your family like any other place seeking assistance. If you know you don't have everything that they are requesting and still choose to go then you are simply gambling. I have several children and I understand why they limit the amount of children. The reason being some parents don't have any control of their children and they run and play on and through stuff when this place is for assistance it's not a playground nor daycare. Thank you so much for all that you do. An Ms. Linda was of great help when I was getting services.👑

8 loafs of squashed bread , 2 packs of spoiled ground turkey , i don't think the same people run this place anymore , they used to be so friendly when it was done inside , no one prays with you or asks anything you just pull up in your car they are giving food grade below prisoners , The tuna is not Tuna its soy. Just a tax write-off now

I love this place. The staff is helpful and friendly. They give a good amount of food according to your family size. They also give away clothing and diapers. This place has been a blessing for me and my family. I have 2 kids and have never been turned away for not having socials or because I have too many kids like I see someone just lie in the comments. They don't ask for socials and you can have 10 kids and will not be turned away. Great place good people.
