This is regarding their Adult depression recovery program…

This program is great… For some people. I’ve gone to Rogers residential program two times and seen many people go through the program and thrive. Personally, the program’s structure was not ideal for what I was going through/ my learning style, but I do see the value in the program and benefited to some degree from the overall experience.

PROs- psychiatrists are Phenomenal… I had Dr. Moore twice and can’t speak highly enough of him. He helped stabilize my medication’s both times I was there. Art group is awesome and it’s totally stacked with a variety of mediums and materials to create with. Rec therapy is helpful, but also frustrating so the jury’s still out on that. The food is decent.. There were some questionable meals, but others were lit. The nature Setting is awesome and walks through the grounds are nice. There are weekly trips to target and weekly outings. The behavioral activation portion of the curriculum is very helpful.

CONS- only one individual therapy session per week, and I had the most incompetent therapist the second time I was in this program and I was unable to switch after requesting a change. I benefit a lot from individual therapy, so this is a huge downside to the program. Additionally, aside from experiential therapy, the groups are very rudimentary and boring in my opinion (it’s only basic/beginner DBT and CBT). There is way too much downtime that is supposed to be filled by doing therapy assignments aka ‘busy work’ (lots of worksheets).. this was challenging for those with ADHD or manic symptoms. If you’re a vaper, you’re SOL (but They do give you around eight cigarette breaks a day… If you can handle the burn…).

I received outstanding care at Rogers Memorial Health - staff is incredibly patient and understanding to what each patient is going through. Very clean environment and one of the best places to be if you have a drug/alcohol addiction.
