This is just a note to say that I am thinking of all the families who have been hurt by this terrible act of violence, and praying for your entire community. When I was in college, I made several Sikh friends, who welcomed me into their homes and families, and shared with me their beautiful religion, and we together marveled at how similar our beliefs were and how God loves all his children. What joyful friendships, and blessed learning, and this is what I wish for the communities of America. Please know that there are those who stand with you to build tolerance and peace, and that we honor those of your family that died.

I am a Christian pastor originally from the Milwaukee area. My heart is broken over what has happened. My sincere condolences to all who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. I stand in solidarity with the people who were simply coming to their temple to worship God. Even though I do not share your beliefs, I believe in a God who loves all people as God's own children, and I believe that God mourns for this tragedy. I pray that God will sustain all who are mourning now. And I pray that people of all faiths can set aside differences to show support to the Sikh community. It is so unjust that people of any faith should have to live in fear of such violence. These mass shootings that seem to happen so often in this country should fill us with shame and outrage. Let us be instruments of God's peace.

I'm writing this message with heart felt condolences for your temple
members and families. My stomach dropped and heart broke when I saw the
news of what happened. I simply do not understand what can bring a man to
such hate and action. We are all humans, period. Race, religion, personal
beliefs, all of our differences, must be not only tolerated but respected
and understood. We must treat each other with respect. For acts like this
to happen is simply unbelievable. It has to stop!

Its beyond my ability to comprehend what we have done to Americans to deserve being butchered in the house of our lord. Our children are being harassed in schools, grownups have very little chances of being employed, elderly are being shot at in public parks and the federal government wont even let us serve in the military despite very strong military history. Our places of worships are patrolled by police forces on an routine basis due to increased threats of similar violence. Is this America--the home of freedom? We have absolutely no animosity toward Americans; I pray for time when we will no longer be treated as 3rd class citizens of our beloved country--USA. I will pray for the lost lives; I will pray to the lord to give us strength to live on. God Bless USA AND American Sikhs!
