My family member was there for only a few months, I loved the look and to me it was clean inside and outside, the residents there are super friendly. The staff is much better than many other places out there, we never had any bad experiences with management either.

I toured three facilities on my sister’s behalf. While all three were genuinely nice, I chose Cornerstone of Oak Creek because of the size of the community: 36 apartments. Large enough to provide a comfortable mix of neighbors but not so large that one might feel a bit lost or overwhelmed.

Taylor Larson and Robin Vogelmann of Cornerstone took the time to visit and interview my sister to learn both her medical needs and her personal interests vis a vis community living prior to my sister making her decision.

While moving to a new neighborhood and embracing new neighbors can be a bit daunting, my sister acclimated very well, enjoying the amenities and her new neighbors and friends.

The Cornerstone staff are very attentive. They are always mindful of my sister, making sure that she is comfortable and always welcome to join her neighbors at dinner and in activities.

Similarly, the housekeeping and medical staff are always attentive to my sister’s needs.

All the staff are genuinely thoughtful and considerate.

The cornerstones of OC assisted living is where our mother/grandmother had chosen to live out her elder years of life. The facility is clean and up dated in most areas.
This has been our families third experience with an assisted living facility. Cornerstones has been the best we have dealt with. We have personally seen how the staff cares for the residents living there. We also have witnessed first hand the things they have done for our family member (and others) in helping her to be cheerful, safe, and assisting in health matters that are called upon. Or even simple things like helping getting the tv on the right channel. It’s a smaller facility, and I personally think that’s huge, and it lets the staff be flexible in all their graciousness.
I feel the management at this facility is a great example and carries down to all the staff at cornerstones. Robin in particular is outstanding to work with. We recommend this facility for your loved one.

Staff is very rude, they laugh at you when you ask them to help the people who live in their facility. I find it very disheartening that people from a neighboring business care for their tenants more than they do. If you love your family members, don't let them live there, there are assisted living establishments that care about their tenants and Cornstone is not one of them!

I am a current resident and I have lived in some really bad places. Cornerstone of Oak Creek is wonderful. I wouldn't trade this for anywhere else. I just love peace and quiet.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. THEY WILL NOT BE PROPERLY CARED FOR. I work at a local business and one of our customers is a resident of Cornerstone. She was in our establishment with several bags of groceries and asked if I could call Cornerstone for her to ask for someone to come pick her up. I called and a staff member named "Analeise," who sounded like a teenager, informed me that they "don't do" pickups. I asked if the residents were aware of this, she said they are, which clearly isn't the case. I was told there are only two staff members on site, which is a huge red flag for any facility of this nature, and they can't safely pick up their residents. I asked to speak with the manager and was placed on hold. I then spoke with "Maya," who also sounded like a teenager, who also explained that they "just, like, can't, like, do pickups with only two people here" and giggled. We ended the conversation there. My customer then said that they HAVE done pickups in the past and wanted to call back herself. I let her use our phone to do so. They put her on hold immediately. Once they were back on the line, I asked to speak with management, and I was given to a third person named "Tiffany" who informed me that it would "be a HIPAA violation for them to drive her" and that they couldn't do that. She then told me that I could "take my break early" to walk her back myself. They then said they called their manager, Robin, on her day off to come pick the customer up and drive her back. When Robin arrived, she asked the customer "so who's the lovely lady who called for me to pick you up?" And I walked over. She was incredibly snarky with me, belittling the customer, belittling me. She said she heard me yelling at them on the phone, so either she was on duty and just didn't care, they record their calls without informing the caller, or the girls on staff said I yelled at them. I was firm with them and was not exactly a joy to speak with, I'll admit that, but I did not YELL at them on the phone. The customer apparently is on oxygen, but she didn't have any oxygen on her, and she can't leave the facility without her inhaler to just walk her dog, yet they let her out of the building without signing out and without her inhaler or oxygen. I asked if she can't walk her dog without oxygen or an inhaler, WHY was she let out without these things. Robin's response was that she wasn't signed out. I said clearly nobody was available to sign her out and she said "well someone answered the phone didn't they." It's very clear they do not give a semblance of care or compassion for their residents health or wellbeing. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS.

Also, according to Robin Tiffany is a trainee, so why I was told she was management is beyond me.

The facility itself can be decent. It definitely has its issues though which include - dog poop (inside, not outside) on the floor for hours because everyone refuses to pick it up, residents being left in their own pee because 3rd shift is asleep, and Robin (management) who is an absolute nightmare to work with. I never heard of someone being so rude and disrespectful. She doesn't smile, doesn't help, swears at all of her workers, and has memory problems which result on her placing blame on you. I normally do not go on here to bash a place, but someone from HR needs to monitor this location. When you have multiple HR professionals telling you to lawyer up because of the way you're being treated, that shows maybe the wrong person is in the position of power.

Cornerstone of Oak Creek is very clean, very nice facility. The food is wonderful. They now offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would definitely put my loved one here to be cared for. The resident assistants are thoughtful, caring, like to have fun with the residents. Definitely give this facility 5 stars!
