I didnt. Stay there long but while i was there iet staff and residents it felt like a home. The support that the staff had givin me kept me going. I love all the staff members they made me feel i was a family member. I love you all Thank you so much for keeping me going when i was ready to give up.

Well I seen some negative comments and just like everything there’s always people with good and bad experiences , I personally had a very great one with just a bitter moment but I came here and yes I needed to apply just like in most shelters there is a waiting list it was before they moved to this location so I was staying in my car and got the call the next morning that they had space I moved here the staff was great friendly helpful communicative they helped me get back on my feet by the time I knew it I was living on my own and doing great however I did get money stolen ($800) from one of the staff members police got called person got fired and I got my money back from freedom house because they do help you to save money so they hold those money orders for you thankfully they had cameras that caught the action,unfortunately I moved states and it was the worst decision I made I lost everything now I’m in the same position and just waiting to get a chance maybe go back smh unfortunately I’m like an hour away in Manitowoc

I've watched this place be built from the ground up, and what a great service to the community. To help those in need.
I personally have not stayed there, but I do know what it's like to have been homeless.
So, I donate water and snacks. I also drop off hats that a person makes .
If in need, it's a good place. If you want to donate , they except with a friendly smile.

The writing on The Freedom House website sounds like there is hope, but my cousin did not find any. His family were told that they have to wait on a waiting list. So much for being homeless help.

I found this place from the United Way website, because I once donate to the United way. But, after hearing my cousin's experience, the best way is to save your money and do the best for your self because no one will be there for you. Not the government or anyone. You just have to do what you need to do to survive or die trying.

As for my cousin he pack his two kids and wife and drove to Minnesota, I heard they found help there.

It is ironic that we live in a free country of where nothing is free. The future don't look good for people in this world.

Government should be self sufficient and should employ everyone who wants to work, who wants a life. Not just tax everyone and does nothing that is sustainable to everyone.

The caseworker hides upstairs all day. They don't do their job, lazy. Won't recommend. And the lunch tastes horrible. They kick you out with no resources to help you. Iwouldn'recommend

This is the place that changed my life.I hit rock bottom and couldn't seem to get assistance on obtaining stability in my life by finding housing.Luckily,I came to Freedom house.I haven't been homeless since💪😎Thank you Freedom House.Some days I sit in my home and still wouldnt mind going back there to live.I am definitely a success story thanks to Freedom House
