Good cc ski trails and fun events, even if you don't have kids. I used to run the trails during the warmer months, but now that I have a dog, I go somewhere she can join; I understand why they don't allow dogs, but I'd go more if they did. The only other downside is the longest trail is usually closed. Definitely worth visiting at least a few times per year.

A family friend held a celebration of life here, and it was just beautiful. We had time to walk around the preserve, and it was very lovely with nice trails. There's even a few geocaching opportunities (but I don't do it, so I don't know enough to comment on it).

The celebration of life was held inside, and the decor was very nice and outdoorsy. There was an open bar which had a good selection of drinks.

Very nice celebration.

Visited again and enjoyed a hike. We liked listening to the birds and seeing all the wild animals.

A pretty place to walk around. Trails are relatively easy to traverse, but we're quite muddy in many spots. Heavy bugs. Wear repellant.

Big parking lot for parking. No wait to enter and no line. Free entrance although there are donation boxes that I saw on one of the trails.
Very nice nature preserve with nice trails and playground park for kids. Went around 6pm during the golden hours for senior pictures and it wasn’t too busy. It’s a great place for family photos or any kind of photography. Highly recommend it. We didn’t walk on too many of the trails but some that we did were very nice.
*warning-bring bugs spray because we were attacked by tons of mosquitoes and a mom with her kids were leaving and she offered us her bugs spray since she knew we’d be out there for awhile. She was so kind and it definitely saves us from getting eaten alive. So thankful for her.

A beautiful preserve with nice wide trails and lots of wildlife.

Plenty of parking and restrooms at the entrance. Theres also a unique playground with Hobbit holes nearby. Entry is free, though they do accept donations.

There are quite a few trails here that twist and turn, and some that intersect. You'll find an incredible variety of birds and plants, and also turtles, frogs, deer, butterflies, and bunnies. The bugs weren't too bad for an area like this, which was pleasantly surprising. There are fruits and berries growing wild here, too, though most weren't ready to consume.

The turtle pond was very relaxing, and we had a couple turtles pop up to say hi. The birdsongs were wonderful, as well.

There are several viewing towers here and boardwalks/bridges. Some of them are in desperate need of repair.

Well worth the visit! We'll be back again someday, I'm sure.

There are numerous Pokestops and gyms here.
