I am not impressed. I was dropped off from Franklin Williams Women's Shelter, so late in the middle of the night that I was stressed, exhausted, and completely disoriented. The paperwork had to be corrected because the 13th became the 14th and I was signing the rules while trying to stay awake. It was 3am when I was brought into a dorm of 6 beds, 3 on each side, and I was not comfortable waking up the room of sleeping women so I used the flashlight on my cell phone. I left the facility and made it back 19 minutes after lights out. Having no assigned case worker for the weekend, I did not feel comfortable.

A friend of mine told me the place is nice, but the food isn't always great; The food tastes a bit strange and it is at times served it cold. Also, what I've heard of other places, dinner time is from 5pm-8:30pm. This shelter does not give those same hours in case someone is trying to make it back to have dinner.

Near NYU and Washington Square Park. Clean, convenient and a great selection including hot sandwiches, soups, coffee and a self serve buffet. And they accept EBT. ✨

I stayed there for a few months and they are amazing!!!! They helped me get an apartment and on my feet when other shelters in the city did not. I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff especially the kitchen lady Ava. She is a God send.

I was here for 3 1/2 months. Within that time, I had my own place. The staff was more than great. I am grateful for such a place, and support. The area is nice, and safe.

Things will get better. Have patience, and stay out of trouble. Don't forget to pray! God bless ❤️
