The best staff EVEEEEER!!!!! I'm sooooo grateful and thankful for them all. I made an appointment for a cat, to meet 2. But when I walked in...I saw Santana sitting there all pretty. I asked about her...I met her first and it was love at first sight. I learned she had been there a year, dropped off at the door and abandoned. Little did I know today that I'd literally be rescuing a gem of a cat. A total sweetheart cuddle bug. Playful. No idea how she was there a year. Anyway, I'm getting ready to pay the 90 dollar adoption fee when they tell me the adoption fee has been paid! Talk about meant to be. Wow. Just so happy right now. If you want to adopt, go here! A+ staff. What a memorable and thankful experience, I'll never forget today 🙏😁

Ever since I was a little person, this was where I had gotten the few animals over the years that I did, exception of one kitten. Anyway, every time going here has been great. So much positive and happy go lucky vibes and energy. Passionate staff through and through. You can tell that they love what they do and so as they say "You never work a day of your life, doing what you love." and this is very applicable to the people I worked with in the process of adopting good ole Omelette here. This shelter is definitely the best conditions for animals and treatment for animals kind of place above all other shelters that I have ever visited. You will not be disappointed here. Even if it's just for a dopamine booster with all the serotonin and endorphin releases. After putting in an application it lasts 6 months before you have to re-app prior to adoption. They make sure to go out of their way in regard to matching you up with the perfect puppy/dog or kitten/cat. Inform you from the paws to the head of every thing a well-informed adopter ought to know, and even though I've had 14 years of ownership, it was still nice to be told stuff, even if I knew it what I was being told. This goes to show they do their due diligence, regardless if you have owned before or not. This gives me confidence in the shelter rather than be offended or bothered. As such, they want to make sure 100% that you know what you need to know and what to expect and so on and so forth. 100/100 - The only shelter I will recommend.

Cherryland Humane Society is a WONDERFUL place! I can only say great things about this Humane Society. Staff will always call back in a timely manner if voice-mail is left. Friendly staff that help you in ANYWAY possible. They provide you with informative information to help care for your foster/adopted pet. They also have tips on how to train your new fur baby and also provide you with behavior tips! I live in Grayling and I fostered to adopt these two beauties ( on 2 seperate occasions) from Cherryland. Cherryland is THE most helpful, caring, commited Humane Society I have ever been to. They care so much about the animals and want them to have the best life possible with their new furever home! If you're thinking about adopting, or just fostering a new kitty or puppy please, please consider Cherryland. They want what is best for you and your new addition to your home.

My husband and I went in to look at adult cats. Staff was friendly and polite. Facility was clean and the cats were in nice large displays. They looked comfortable, happy, and calm. We also went first thing in the morning and got to witness quite a few volunteers come in to walk the dogs, which I thought was awesome.

We ended up falling in love with a long hair adult black cat named Lord Vader. We filled out the paperwork, and the staff followed up on all the info we provided which I thought was great. They really like to make sure the pets are going to a good home, and also like to make sure the people wanting to adopt understand that this is a huge commitment, and not to be taken lightly.

Our adoption went well, and we have had Lord Vader for a few months now, and he is just a ball of energy and love. Thank your Cherryland for making the adoption an enjoyable experience!

I adopted a kitten from Cherryland two weeks ago and it could not have gone better. The staff are SO friendly and knowledgeable and answered ALL of my questions (and I had a lot, as a new cat owner). These people really care about their animals and provide the best care possible.
The adoption application is thorough and requires you bring your new pet to a vet ASAP upon adoption to ensure the animals are getting cared for properly.
My kitten had all of his shots and was already neutered and microchipped when I took him home, so his first vet visit was a breeze! He only had to meet the doctor!
Life with my kitten is pretty great, and if you’re even considering adopting a kitten (or any other animal), Cherryland is the place to go.

They do a fantastic job. You can tell the staff really cares. I received three different personal cell phone numbers after my adoption for questions or concerns. We are in the process of looking for another pup to adopt and they are just as good the second time around.

A great place to get your next dog. You might want to bring hearing protection though because the pups are loud when you go in to see them.

Cherryland is not only a great place to volunteer at, but also a great transitional place for animals that are looking for their forever home. I love that the staff take extra care and effort to make sure that the animals are being placed in the right homes for their personalities. The facility is cleaner than any shelter I have ever visited because the staff go above and beyond to make the experience for their animals and potential families a great one.
