The Salvation Army co-sponsored the Sara Lee Cares event honoring our hometown heroes and helped provide transportation to the event for attendees. Their volunteers were some of the nicest, easiest going, and funniest(!) people you could ask to meet. Grand Traverse would not be the same without them.

Strange front desk women yelled at me to say she did not want to help anyone during normal food bank hours. It was especially weird because there was food all over..I did call and report her to management last week.

Never have I ever went to volunteer somewhere and been told they don't need/want help. It's the salvation army You FIND THINGS for people to do! Also, you shouldn't have a webpage dedicated to needing help on Tuesday the 26th if you didn't really need help on Tuesday the 26th. Also, if Mary answered the email I sent a week ago, I wouldn't have driven 45 minutes into traverse City to only be told they don't want help from the community. So, I went to father Fred and told them what happened and they gladly opened their arms to us.

If you think single moms are getting helped, you can think again. They're NOT

Letting our representatives & donors know how things are being delegated. Do you think people who are disabled from medical conditions have the ability to know how your process works before seeking help? Disgusting . Using homeless & disabled population to fund rich. I watched this woman treat poor people like garbage, and im fed up with it. When I'm done chatting with state reps, poor people will get what they need, or you will all be DEFUNDED.

You use poor single mothers to fund yourselves & help rich stay rich. Scam artists like my sister receive your help while living in $400,000 homes. I helped her too when I did well just like I gave to people like you & now I have nothing.

When I became a single mother who did need your services, of course I was denied. You're all bunch of scumbags stealing from the poor.

Receptionist Kate Dafoe was incredibly rude. I called the Restore and was told I need to come here and ask for Patty to receive a voucher. She yelled rudely as soon as I walked in because I was looking for the restroom. Her tone acted like she was disgusted to see a human being. She said she would help me, then hassled me for a voucher because I don't have a local address. I am disabled and homeless, if I had one I wouldn't be here. Why hassle people for vouchers to a store that receives free items? The voucher was for $50, and with the ridiculously high Restore prices that might get me 4 clothing items. Her behavior is on par with all the religious organizations I've had to deal with. Shame on you.
