Thank you so much for allowing me to stay at hospital hospitality house of Saginaw. My mother had almost a week stay and it was a blessing to be able to stay right near the hospital where I could run over if needed. Thank you I was able to make a meal take a shower and I had a nice comfortable bed it felt like home. My husband was having surgery done at St Mary's hosp. We live in alpena so having a place to stay that was so close was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful . The house was very clean and homey.

I've stayed here at least 100 times as an employee, and have stayed at the other nearby hospitality house a handul of times as well.

Pros: Polite staff, a short walk from the hospital, very reasonable cost, much safer than any nearby hotel/motel at a much lower price than anything around.

Cons: House has a lot of settling sounds, clunks and clinks (as any old house.) Walls are thin so it's easy to hear other guests (talking, snoring) or the helicopter coming and going throughout the night. Communal bathrooms can be tricky with a fuller house. Staff only stays until midnight (same with both communal houses.) Not the best for a light sleeper if you're sensitive to noise or smells- somebody tonight decided midnight was the best time to fry up some onions and the house still reeks of it.

Based on price alone, it's a good deal and safe place to stay. Comfort-wise, I would give it a 3 out of 5.

We stayed one Night there. We were suppose to stay there for a few days til we could figure out what was going on with our family member that was in nicu. The lady that lives in the house Kara. Was horrible, their was 8 of us that stayed there in 3 rooms that they offered to give us for 1 night. Once we left the Emerson House to do what we all needed to get done. Kara went into one of our rooms that we had locked and went through our families belongings. And kicked us all out after our rooms were paid for for a few days. They never gave us a reason why they kicked us out, other then we wore out our welcome when we had gotten there. We had other family members who came from a long way try to stay there but they refused money and said Noone from our family was allowed to stay. I don't get why they are not allowing any of us to stay when we had our rooms paid for in advance and even brought food with us, which she kept. I will be contacting everyone too until I can get this all straighten out. We are all absolutely puzzled on why we can go there.
