My mom said to me yesterday, I think George would have liked it here. Since her husband passed and she had to make the move from Florida to be near family we could not be happier to have found Monark Grove! There are so many activities, classes, and entertainment offered daily. If mom is not in the salon (onsite) or pretending to ride the bike in the gym, she is chatting with new friends.

Not sure why some say the food is not great, we all enjoy joining her for a meal and the food is always good. Filet, salmon, weekly specials, daily homemade soups, and the main menu changes monthly. Did I mention how patient the waitstaff is? It's more like a resort than senior living.

Special thank you to Laura for giving us our initial tour and knowing she is still always available, with a smile, if we have any questions.

The front desk staff is fantastic, too! It is so comforting they are there 24/7 for mom. Thank you to the entire staff for giving us all peace of mind. Take the tour! We researched many places and definitely picked the right new home for mom.

Our family is so grateful for the care our mother is receiving at Monark Grove Clarkston. Navigating her Alzheimer’s diagnosis has been incredibly difficult, but knowing she is in such good hands brings us comfort and peace of mind. The staff are truly wonderful, kind, attentive, and always willing to answer our questions or address any concerns quickly. Communication has been excellent, and we feel genuinely supported every step of the way. Melissa, the Director, is quick to respond and very involved. Janet and Rye are both incredibly compassionate with the residents, and Brandon always has a smile and does a fantastic job with the social activities. The activities provided are engaging and thoughtfully planned, helping bring joy and stimulation to each day. It’s never easy to place a loved one in memory care, but Monark Grove has made us feel confident that even when we can’t be there, she is safe, happy, and well cared for.

My Memaw moved to Monark Grove in December. She loves the independence & when she was sick, it was comforting to know they have many other levels of care within the same facility. They have fun events & activities. The restaurant has AMAZING food. We bring out whole family there several nights a weeks!

Monark Grove Clarkston Memory Care has been a true blessing for our family. From day one, the transition for Mom was incredibly smooth thanks to the attentive and caring staff, led by Melissa, the amazing Director. Everyone here truly goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

A special thank you to Brandon, the energetic activities director, who keeps Mom engaged and smiling with a fun and thoughtful schedule of events. When Mom was in assisted living, (Shantese the Director is awesome too) she was inactive and sad, it was time. We are so grateful to the entire team for creating such a warm and supportive environment!

Staff are genuine, professional, welcoming and always greet you with a smile. The atmosphere is elegant, inviting and beautiful. The food is amazing and every event that I have attended has far exceeded my expectations. Activities include the community, families and children, making it feel like a big family. Monark Grove has beautiful amenities and the grounds feel like a park. The staff of Monark Grove provides opportunities to all residents to be engaged and active!

I have witnessed smiling faces for 2 1/2 years at Monark Grove. I have been teaching chair yoga at MG since they opened. The residents love the “ family” culture. In addition to the caring staff, the residents all look out for one another. I liked the environment so much, that we moved my mother-in-law in last summer. 😊

If you are looking for a place that’s perfect, you aren’t going to find it. My children checked out every independent place within a reasonable drive from where they live. Monark Grove was head and shoulders above everything else. My wife and I have been here since Oct 31st. There are some things we would like to see improved but they are nothing we can’t live with. In fact, no place we have ever owned was perfect. We give it 5 stars all around.

Monarch Grove is absolutely beautiful! Every time I visit the residents seem so happy, always engaging in conversation with me. I don’t think there has ever been a time I visited when something wasn’t going on music, dancing, games … always something.

Sharon is so friendly, sweet, vibrant, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Monarch Grove and everything it has to offer. She really cares about each and every resident and they love her.

Shantese, the nurse, is always professional and makes sure that the residents have everything they need.

Melissa truly loves her memory care residents and insures they have the best care.
