We got married on March 1st, 2025 with a guest count of around 90 and our day was an absolute dream. Before our day, though, Charity helped us through every step. She was so accommodating and patient with all of my questions. The day of, Charity was coordinating with all of the vendors and ensuring everyone knew every detail that I had wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, a lot of them had never been to a wedding at a place like this. The fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing can all be held in the same place throughout different rooms of the house is so valuable. My advice to all future couples: skip the empty industrial event spaces and have your wedding at a place that screams character, warmth, coziness, elegance and FUN at The Sweet House! Your photographers will thank you—I know mine did!

I loved photographing and working at The Sweet House. It is a very unique and beautifully decorated venue that hosts a mixture of vintage and classy sophistication. Its perfectly located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, close to many hotels for the guests attending your wedding. The coordinators and planners at The Sweet House are wonderful and kind to work with as well. You will love hosting your celebration here!

Had the privilege of seeing the Poe Speakeasy twice. Clever interpretations of Poe's stories paired with themed cocktails. The actors were great hosts, friendly & fun. Looking forward to attending more of their productions

I attended the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy event here at the Sweet House Foundation. The event was well worth the price. The ambiance was perfect for the chilling tales of Edgar Allan Poe. The signature cocktails were well thought out and of high quality. I would love to attend future events at the Sweet House.

My sister and I went and wasn't really sure what to expect, but we loved it. Everyone involved did an amazing job. Drinks were served and brought to us, they were delicious and had a spooky flare. Stories were told and made personal for the area that we were in (Grand Rapids, MI) Definitely loved it & would recommend. It was overall about a 2hr experience.

So nice I went twice! The drinks were varied and good. The atmosphere was cool. The performers were awesome! Overall well worth the price of admission.

We took our tour group her for the second time. We had a private catered event both times. Charity is amazing to work with and the volunteers are excellent and committed. Lots of knowledge about this house. The chef was so nice and personable. It made the dinner a wonderful experience and we had a small group so we're able to gather around the large dining room table. We will definitely be using them a third time.
