Great food and caring people! The nicest people volunteer and work here. They truly care about helping people here and it shows.

There are also times when they give out necessities like socks, gloves or mittens, and winter hats right there in the dining room!

It is a very awesome place that is very helpful to people who are down on their luck. You will get a wonderful warm meal at the very least. Sometimes, they even give out a second meal to take with you. Not every day, but once in a while.

It definitely helps people who don't have a lot of money or food stamps, to get a good healthy meal in their belly at least once a day.

God bless you all for your kindness and caring hearts! ❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️

God's Kitchen was a major life saver for me, as well as for others. In 1999, I started going there as a condition of my community service sentence, but I quickly became a regular, dependable volunteer, and in love with the awesome staff, the people we served throughout West Michigan, and the act of helping other without discrimination whatsoever. I also had to do away with pride and use the services this organization offered. This is venue of true love for ALL people. Volunteering the time that God blessed me with allowed me to learn more about life, and living. Every individual who has, are presently, and will volunteer themselves to serve God by serving the disadvantaged, will definitely reap the eternal benefits.I truly miss the staff of God's Kitchen.

I miss the cafe style line where you could see the food. Then you could pass if something looked unappealing or not God for your dietary restrictions. Now with everything in a to go containers. Usually the meal's are carb heavy and as a diabetic that can be an issue. Hopefully things normalize and they go back to the old system. I have hopes as they opened the dining room for eating again recently.

Update 5:21: Dropped to 2* today. Arrived at around 1pm to find a line waiting at a locked rear entry door. So after standing in line for 30m. No one having the courtesy to answer people's knocks with a simple sorry were closed. And trying to get thru on the phone to speak with someone finally got thru and was told they apparently closed early due to an "incident" that occurred. But they couldn't put a simple sign anywhere saying so. And even if they closed the dining room why couldn't they pass meals out the rear entrance as when the dining room was closed. They definitely need a better plan in place if things occur. Especially as when I arrived there were people inside eating still. So because of whatever occurred many missed out on meal's including a young family with 3 small children that were in line.

A great place to volunteer. God's Kitchen serves a few hundred lunches each day. If you like to chop vegetables and to interact with people while serving food, God's Kitchen is a great place to spend a few hours. The people stopping in for meals are generally pleasant, kind, and grateful, with just enough "spice" thrown in to keep it interesting. The meals are all free, no questions asked. A main dish, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert, and coffee are almost always included.

Clean, organized, good and nutritious meals provided at lunchtime. The staff there are courteous, warm and friendly. They provide a service badly needed in the Hearthside Neighborhood.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”Acts 20:35.

How gratifying it is to read of you serving 175,000 people last year! May God continue to bless ALL that support this great deed!!!

Only reason why im doing 2 is because i absolutely hate downtown. And the ones who are running this baby pantry arent very nice. And the itmes they have for the babies you only get 6 diapers the food they had when i went was all expired for that babies. It was a waste of gas and change to park. I get more/better from streams of hope.
