Thank you Michigan Duck Rescue for coming right out and examining a swan that was hit by a car in Commerce Township today. It was a happy ending thankfully! Also thanks to the couple who pulled over to protect the swan as he sat right next to the side of the road and thanks to the nice lady who was ready to rehab the swan at her friends' farm if the need arose. Wonderful to see so many caring people.

We really appreciate you guys taking our duck as we know he will be well taken care of! Matt has answered all my calls / texts and has given us some good advice when caring for our duck. Theresa also gave us some good advice. We will be checking in on “Duck Duck” from time to time to see how he is doing. You guys are awesome for what you do! I definitely will be donating money to the sanctuary. Thanks again!

Found 2 ducks in a public park that I hadn't recognized and determined they were domestic, and unfortunately dumped. MI Duck Rescue went above and beyond to rescue and take them to a safer place. I wish more people were educated on how cruel it is to assume a domesticated breed will survive in the wild - this rescue is doing a very compassionate service!

I found a domestic duck at a state park that looked like it needed help and he did not hesitate to come save it! I was unable to catch the duck and also not well equipped to transport a duck and he drove over an hour with a dedicated volunteer to catch it! I could tell over the phone how much he truly cares about the well-being of ducks and animals. I had called numerous places that wouldn't or couldn't help and I'm so glad I kept looking until I found this place! It warms my heart to know there are people with such big hearts for animals in need!

Amazing couple that helped us with two ducks, we lost one to old age and didn't want the other one to get lonely. All three are doing great!

Amazing people. I spotted a young goose by my local pond who was struggling to walk. When I got close to him I realized he had fishing line coming out of his mouth and was acting like he swallowed more of it, or the hook. Mike came out quick and drove from over 100 miles away. The goose got into the water right before he arrived and swam out into the pond. Without a kayak or boat, it felt like a lost cause. Mike literally threw on a life vest and snuck out into the water, through the reeds, and was able to grab the goose with his bare hands and bring him back to shore. Amazing the effort he put in and the communication with the rescue throughout the process. Couldn’t be more grateful for what they did yesterday!

Super caring place that cares about all birds. Not just ducks. I had a seagull wander on to my work's property with a broken wing. It seemed to be asking us for help. Mike was the only one of the 30+ people i talked to willing to make the drive to my work and save it

The negative reviews of this place are not fair imo - domestic animals are bred for domestication, they are not meant to live in the wild period. The man I spoke with was extremely caring and helpful. I was going to bring my neighbor’s ducks to them after one sprained its neck during a predator attack and I couldn’t find a vet with availability. He suggested a vet I hadn’t heard of and they got me in fast. His level of concern and care inspired me to fix my neighbor’s coop to keep everybody safe. Although I ended up keeping the ducks on the property, he was incredibly caring and offered advice on everything. The injured duck is gaining his strength back every day and the animals are now able to use the coop which I worked to make predator proof. Thanks so much!
