I asked for the price of a few things, but when I purchased them they rang up higher than expected.
That was upsetting to me as a random customer.

I think overall the prices in the store are higher than desired, and this might be why people would choose to shop at their local dollar store instead of their local resale shop.

To be completely fair, there still are a few things worth buying here.

Just don't get your hopes up and take a look.

It was pretty decent. It was a very long drive to get there from Lake City and I asked to use the bathroom. I was directed to a bar 4 blocks away. Make sure you go before you get there lol.
Also items are at full resale. I got some items home and realized I should have looked at them closer. One item was cracked beyond repair and a fabric item had some tar or something on it. So check your items carefully.
Otherwise there were a lot of really neat things to look at. The building itself has a really vintage look and has interesting features. I will go again and I will stop at a DG and use the bathroom first lol.

The staff is very helpful and all volunteer. Prices change and they could do what the grocery stores do. They don't have to put prices on things. Some times a price tag doesn't get changed. The volunteers don't get payed so they don't need people giving them a hard time. They do what they are told. What you need to think about before you open your mouth is: would you talk to your mom like that?
The staff is very very nice and helpful. Unless you know the whole story maybe you shouldn't do a review.
The volunteers purchase items all the time. They get something and set it aside until the end of their shift. You all do an excellent job please keep up the good hard work

They are very helpful and have a food pantry and clothing Boots toys housewares
Prices are getting a little higher than resales for used goods should be but it's nice place they need volunteers to help.
Also as long as you are from kalkaska county
senior citizens can go get help with food twice a month. I always take them my excess plastic and paper bags they can use them always.👍😎😎😎

kair is a great store they have great customer service. And there donation are to help the people of the community to get items at a cheaper price if not for free, they have a open food pantry for anyone who needs it!!! if anyone has any complaints about the way the store is ran then maybe you should volunteer your time there’s only a handful of volunteers there they are doing their best and I thank God they’re there. maybe some of the people that go in there that try to get things cheaper than what they already are maybe you have the problem!!!

I volunteer at KAIR and many people who come in to shop have commented on how well the store is organized and displayed. I have found many prices lower than other thrift stores and ALL the money collected goes to supplement the food pantry. I have seen the staff provide food and clothing to a couple of homeless people and I only volunteer once a week. The food pantry accommodates new people immediately with food. We have hours to accommodate the few volunteers that are willing to work. We have a dedicated staff to help people here in kalkaska county.

Amazing store, tons of affordable house hold items, decor, and clothing for anyone struggling (as many are) with money and need a few items without paying almost triple what it’s likely worth.
