Went in to update my resume and print it. The woman interfered instead of helping, causing me to have part of my resume deleted. It was an important part. Then I mentioned a place I was applying to and that same woman insulted the company that I was applying for. I went to said company for an open interview and the people at said place were very friendly and respectful. Do I need to explain farther? The woman at Mi Works that acted that way, shouldn't be getting paid. She obviously doesn't know what she's doing. Very unprofessional and extremely unhelpful .

I applied for 6 weeks of unemployment not knowing you can only apply for 14 days past. My main priority was actually finding a job and not collecting unemployment. I was told by an employee at MI Works West Central that I would not automatically be disqualified for the 2 weeks prior to starting my claim just because I had filed a claim for a month prior to the date I filed the claim. I was disqualified for the whole period I filed for and my claim date defaulted to the day I filed the claim. In spite of informing the employee there that I intended to file for 4-5 weeks, I was not informed that I would be disqualified for the 2 weeks prior to the date of filing based on the date I filed my claim for. I called about this issue and my call was never returned. Now I just did my first certification and it's very frustrating to figure out the work search section. After about 10 minutes of trying to continue to the next page I was finally able to figure out that there was an empty work search field that needed to be deleted to continue. I listed a phone interview, an online training course, and a 2nd phone interview for an employer that hired me the following week. I'm currently employed yet I wouldn't be surprised if the state decides not to pay me this measly $300 for the 6 weeks of misery I spent losing my mind trying to find a job in spite of the fact that I have a clean record and a CDL A. Unemployed insurance is a sick joke. The state makes it as hard as possible for hard working people to get the help they need because of all the lazy people who have taken advantage. What do we even pay taxes for in this state? These people sit behind their desks at a cozy government job and it's no problem that they're incompetent and unwilling to help a disabled veteran and a hard worker. Absolutely shameful.
