I visited a horse Camp Henry for the first time and I am SO SO impressed with their care program and horses! I don't normally like camps with horse programs because of how horse are treated.. but these guys really do a wonderful job with their horses! I am a horse person who owns many of my own... I'm just so happy and impressed! Can't say it enough! Thank you Camp Henry for all you do 🥰

I went to Camp Henry 65 yesterday ago and loved every minute. Boy has it changed. We had 6 cabins 4 or 6 to a cabin. Betsy Blinker stables and trails from stables through the woods introduced many to horses, capture the flag was the highlight of the week, greased watermelon in the lake, crafts etc. Our church (St. Marks) paid for 1 week if you sang in the choir but mom and dad gave us additional weeks.
At that time it was $22.00.
Best part was away from family and learning about yourself.

An amazing place. There is even Daddy & Me and Mommy & Me weekends. Every kid deserves a week here in the summer.

The camp has a ton of fun activities for the kids to do and great staff too. I was extremely saddened that there was not a single photo of my camper from his entire week their but there were tons of photos of the same kids multiple days, so I didn't get to see any of the fun activities he did during the week. They really need to consider having more than one person taking photos OR make more of an effort to get photos of ALL the campers instead of the same kids over and over.

I went to this camp as a young girl, and just loved it. I told my son how much fun camp was, and he should try it, but he was too nervous to go. Then one day, he had a class field trip to , you guessed it-Camp Henry! He came home so excited, & full of stories of his fun day. He was ready to try camp. Camp Henry of course did not disappoint. His first time camping was a huge success. He absolutely loved it! He is going again this year too. It just fills my heart with happiness to know my only child will be safe, have good food, great role models, tons of fun, a bit of church and God, and the list goes on. Some of my best childhood memories are of going to camp. Now my son will have those memories too. We love camp Henry!!!

My daughter has been going to this camp for 4 years, she love's going and can't wait to go back every year. She actually cried 1 summer all the way home because the week was over and she did not want to leave. This camp is an amazing place to send your child for a week in the summer.

I attended and loved Camp Henry in the 80's, so we decided to give it a try with our kids. Last summer (2018) was my then-10-year-old's first year at camp. She did the Frontier camp (horse camp) and absolutely loved it. My oldest did not want to try a sleepaway camp, but after seeing all the fun things that her sister did, elected to go this summer (2019.)

They just arrived home and they had an amazing time. My oldest (now 13) tends to be a homebody and can also be easily pushed around, and I'm so unbelievably happy to report that the staff did not allow this to happen. Her counselors were incredible at team-building and fostering kindness and a sense of community, and my daughter made some amazing friends that she wants to keep in touch with. I was amazed at the friendly, happy, confident kid that I picked up...much different from the hesitant, nervous child I dropped off.

While her sister was at "regular camp," my youngest attended "Frontier camp" again, and really had an incredible time. She did an amazing job with the horses. I was so pleased with how the horse wranglers worked at making sure both the kids AND the horses were safe and well cared-for.

If you are nervous about sending your kid to camp, I highly recommend attending the "Mom and Me" or "Dad and Me" weekend camps with your children. You will get a sense of the caring, supportive, upbeat staff, nice facilities, wonderful grounds, and great programming. My husband did not like the idea of sending our kids to camp, but after attending "Dad and Me" with them and having a great time, he delivered our youngest last summer with confidence. The parent/child weekends are also a great value. (The food is fairly decent! It's camp, you're not eating in a Michelin star restaurant, but I was fairly impressed with the quality and variety of "camp food." The salad bar was always full of variety and a lifesaver if you didn't particularly care for what they were serving.)

Give this place a try. It will do great things for your family.

This place needs to be shut down. If people knew what was going on they would not send their kids there. This is not a Christian Camp. This is a free for all with creepy grown men in charge. No one has had the ability to hold them accountable yet. Even when the police was called they kept it under wrap so we'll.
If you care about your children don't leave them here.
