First time at this location, tho I have been to one in Presque Isle a couple times. This one is a little smaller, but it set up well and has wide & varied selection. Will return when I am in the area again. Will do a FULL review at that time.

I used to enjoy coming to this store. The service WAS excellent. I asked if I could simply place a couple of items on the counter so I could just look around quickly (a glass measuring cup and ramekins that fit inside it). The flat response was, "No, ma'am. You can get a cart." She pointed to where they were. What if I didn't want a cart? The other associate added, "We are working there." There was nothing on the counter, nor a cart next to it as if to be used to sort through donations (which should not be done on the sales floor anyways). Instant turn-off. I promptly paid for my things and left. I hate to say it, but with that kind of service, I will not be recommending this store.

The store is pristine! Many items in great condition.

I’m not sure about the workers, I think I heard them complaining about the items I bought, But its just as likely they were making a comment about a bad experience one of them went through.

UPDATE: nevermind, the workers are lovely!! My mom dropped her rosary that she loves and we thought it might have fallen in with the stuff I was donating. They helped her look all over the store! ❤️ it wasn’t there, she found it in the grocery store. I’m thankful for their help!

Half the items are reasonably priced. The other half are way overpriced. Some no-name generic heavily used sneakers shouldn't be priced at 12-15 dollars. used furniture is also priced high for the wear.
reminds me of an overpriced yard sale.

i've only been once while already in town, but it was the most wonderful store full of all of the little treasures i like to have. I went in with my younger brother, because he shares a similar passion for trinkets and vintage glassware and he told me just after we left that it was his new favourite store. There were so many things i had to stop myself from buying, but in the end, i did get a small green throw blanket, a lovely brown floral comforter, and an old slip with the most gorgeous detail by the neckline. My brother insisted on a glass pumpkin for his room. Although it is quite the drive, i know i will be back to this lovely store in the near future!

Threads of Hope is a friendly charitable store for clothes, household goods, bedding, art and furniture. They have nice jewelry, well displayed and fairly priced, some by local creators. Two dollar Tuesday is the best day to buy clothes because most of the clothes are two dollars each except otherwise marked items. Go check their web site for current info.

I have had several experiences donating to this location. All have left me feeling admonished and disrespected. I have been made to feel that donating items was a burden for them and that asking for a receipt was adding insult to injury. I chose this location only because of proximity. Today was the last straw. My boyfriend walked in carrying a medium sized box. The woman working looked at him without saying anything and dramatically rolled her eyes at him then turned away from him. We left with the rest of our items and drove all the way to Biddeford to donate to Goodwill. I will never return to this location to donate or to buy. I am disgusted by an organization that claims to uphold Catholic values. I apologize to the community members that will lose any help that may have come from the resale of any of the items I had planned on donating.
