Can't believe these 5 star reviews, but then again they're from people with this place being their ONLY review.

Crap food. Literally bologna. YES just a slice as the protein for a "meal."

Faculty doesn't follow dietary restrictions. Indeed, they completely ignored a diabetic's diet. Moldy bread. Their "patient" left here weighing 30 pounds less after being there for close to 6 weeks.

Staff lacks compassion. They are just people going through the motions without a care for anyone other than clocking out and a paycheck.

I would not be surprised if this place was to ever be investigated.

Being here is a punishment. Don't do it to your loved ones because this will become their origin story.

Take a tour. Ask patients. Do your due diligence.

But also, go somewhere else.

PHENOMENAL!!! Let me tell you how great this facility is compared to the 3 TERRIBLE care centers my husband was in the last year in another huge city, known for their healthcare!!! The administrator is right by the front door ALWAYS aware of what’s happening in the facility! Don’t let the age of the building fool you. 2 of the nicest, newest and most expensive care centers my husband was in almost killed him by not giving him his medication for 5 days and not checking on him for low blood sugars. I never smelled ANY bodily discharges at Desert Mountain Care Center and believe me I KNOW the smell of urine in the care centers my husband was in that never took care of their patients‘ needs! Desert Mountain has more staff than I’ve EVER seen at a care center and I was with my parents every day for over a year in their care center facility in another state. Desert Mountain Care Center is fabulous! I never saw ANY administrators and nothing but lazy staff of the out of state facilities my husband was in, even when I was demanding his discharge due to their incompetence!

Indio nursing has poor management.
Poor delegation and when you take time off for being sick, the CNA that does the scheduling guilts you into coming in and if you call off she will hang up on you and not hear what you have to say. The turn over rated is insane. Plus, they refuse to work with you about getting your sick time in. So when I left I had 12 hours of sick time that I earned. And they refused to pay it out even though I was sick for two weeks. (Not COVID but apparently you can’t have a common cold OR the flu, which I had )
What a joke of a facility. Office staff, HR and management is a joke as well.

My dad came to this facility to recover to get his strength back from his legs. He Never got physical therapy. The OT was always “ too busy” or “left for the day” . Plus all the nurses are horrible they treated my dad bad. First of all didn’t care about my dad complaining that he had pain on his left leg. They said his “ fine” to my siblings. But we knew he wasn’t fine, because we saw him not looking well. So my sister in law called the ambulance. So they came and took my dad to the hospital and the Er doctor said that he got septic, hemorrhoid, low blood pressure. This horrible facility has to be closed!! They have the worst nurses and management. This facility only see patients as money. They don’t care about their patients the nurses don’t have compassion. Please don’t take your love ones there It’s the worst! My dad is fighting for his life right now.

If you care for you love ones don’t leave them In this care facility because they will die and blame the patient. They don’t check patients as they should, but the caregivers, nurses do have time to chitchat ridiculous!!! Management needs to really get It together and hire people that’s actually experienced and have a little sympathy!!!

My dad was transferred to INRC only 8 days ago......
He is doing good.
The Center is clean.
Food is good, lots of substitutions too,
Staff is good,
If you have a concern or question, ask.

Treat the staff with respect and ask questions, treat others as you want to be treated.

They have a nice facility, a great activities program, a few group visiting rooms.

The staff are busy so keep that into consideration.

I have taken care of family members, and visited them in many, many, many facilities...this is a nice place, clean, quiet, parking is good, visiting hours are flexible.

Sometimes you have to have visited a not so good facility to know a good facility, and I feel INRC is a good one.

I would give it ZERO STARS if I could! Worst rehab I have ever seen! I was called by my Mom to let me know that my Dad was being transported there from JFK when he was in severe pain for a compression fracture and she didn't know why. I drove down from Riverside immediately to find him laying there, dehydrated, and drugged up. When I first walked in it just smelled like plain urine and there was a patient in the hallway arguing with one of the nurses begging to be let out. The rooms were gross, the beds were falling apart, and not to mention the horrible staff that was there. There were just in the hallway chit-chatting in Spanish and laughing, not paying attention to their patients. I asked to have him transported out of there immediately and into a better rehab and the discharge planner was snappy when I told her my concerns about the rehab. ( I visit rehab's all the time due to my job and that was the worst I've ever seen!). I wouldn't place my worst enemy there. Avoid this rehab at all costs!
