It is a clean, tidy gym and cute small. Members are in the workout area usually nice.
When we enrolled (my husband and I), we signed strict rules to "maintain Christian values". Well, it seems that only my husband and I follow the rules, no one else; and management doesn't even care that the rules are followed. The children are supported in an extreme way (e.g. monthly fee), even if they are serially destroying everything, e.g. tearing down the shower curtains, littering and the like.
I've never seen families coming in from the street take a shower before jumping into the pool (they take off their shoes next to the pool and jump into the pool in the t-shirt and shorts they were wearing on the street).
It is completely common for boys as young as 10 (even older autistic) to shower and dress in the women's locker room. The management doesn't care if I complain; they just sadly offer that someone will talk to me about it. Yes, with me and not with the rule breakers. (I think the 5-year-old age limit is also too high, because if we ban educational books in the school library, then why can a 3 to 5-year-old boy stare almost naked women in the women's locker room? I think that acceptable age max. 2-year old age for the opposite gender children. )
Very interestingly, dads are able and willing to take to their daughters to the family room. The boys, regardless of age, come to the women's locker room. (They could use the family room or either of the two tents, but no, they come to the women locker room.) The staff doesn't care, even if they see them also that the boys go into the women's locker room.
They require us to say that we have a pool reservation when entering; but when we do, they take it as harassment, make faces, or ask back, "so what?" It also happened that on a Sunday there was no one at the reception and several people walked in without checking in. We were waiting to see if anyone would come forward. When a woman finally came and we told her we had a reservation, she asked back "so what?" - And the next day we were blocked from booking.
I want to love the YMCA, but the management is not helping me 😢
Update: I wrote to the given email address on the day it appeared as a reply (on July 11th, 2024). It's been three weeks since then, but they haven't even answered so much as "boooooo".

This place is actually nothing like I expected and has a little bit of everything. Its ALWAYS fresh and clean in here. Even when working out, the rooms still fresh and smell normal. The staff is extremely helpful and not judgmental at all. For my experience, it was with Ivan. Excellent customer service and gave me a full tour. Gave me more information on extra things they had there and even when I bring my daughter there is a small daycare to keep your kids when working out. It's completely worth the visit. Trust me.
