Dictated due to disability please excuse errors. Beyond useless, actually hurtful. At first they responded and said they would help the help started and when I called to Check how much money was left on the amount. Budgeted for me and asked for the bill. From the helper, the bill was padded with things that the person never did charging for equipment. That was never used It was very odd that bill was clearly faked and padded. And had nothing to do because I was keeping full track of the actual hours spent helping me. When I called to schedule the next Helping session. They Said I was terminated because it had taken too long even though they had already told me they were putting me in long term help and not to worry about the time as I was in the hospital. They said they would put me in long-term. Help, so it would be OK when I was out of the hospital, I called them back. They told me they had terminated my case. Meaning I lost the small amount of money. They had dedicated to helping me and I have to now just call again like a new case. It's a total scam. The person that was charging their money to help me was scamming them. I showed them proof of this. They couldn't care less, I think. They knew I think they were taking kickbacks very disturbing agency.

My review isn't here because Google erased it. I made two complaints which were ignored. Taping an envelope to someone's door is not an investigation. A neighbor tore the envelope off, so the resident never got it. Adult Protective Services is useless.

Fund social services, they are always at least 30% understaffed. They do the very best they can without other services like a psych emergency dept that can admit or follow up care that is also under funded. Things should be there but if we're not willing to vote for the taxes and for supervisors and mayor's who care then what can we expect. If you want to see changes, help out and volunteer for things like meals on Wheels.

Absolutely horrific experiences with several case managers/social workers at the San Francisco location.

They don’t listen to you but talk AT you and try to get rid of you as soon as possible.

I understand that these agencies are very short staffed but being cruel to the very people they’re hired to protect is beyond belief and often retraumatizing for this already fragile population that absolutely requires their aid and protection.

Shame on you!

Totally useless as it is a scam and a lie to have taxpayer to support this carefree agency who returned my call but hung up shortly after without giving me any assurance that they will follow up. I am poor and live with a brother who uses extortion and blackmail to my parents in their 80's and 90's and cannot afford legal help as adult protective service is a waste of taxpayer money and give a false sense of security as the rich people are protected and the poor ignored. If there are any negative stars, I give it a negative 100

Terrible service, It shouldn’t be that hard to really creat an APS report, Social workers on the phone need some serious training. Not sure how the agency supposed to help in case of concerning situations with Adult and Aging folks.

Absolutely horrible- could care less what happens to people in need of help. They just try to get rid of you as soon as possible using any excuse they can come up with. Not just worthless but harmful to people who need help. Horrific!
