They still continue to operate with Lisa Fatu as an associate. A woman who has been convicted and sentence of embezzling money from another non profit in Sonoma County. The fact that they haven’t cut ties is all you need to know, they still defend her “work” with the company. This is the problem with non profits, especially those in the homeless sector. There is no transparency, large %s of the funds collected from donation and siphoned off to bloated administrative salaries and the problems never get any better, as a matter of fact they get worse and more expensive.

Report: Here’s how former Santa Rosa nonprofit official spent stolen funds
Lisa Fatu is a former official with Social Advocates for Youth. She was sentenced Tuesday after pleading no contest to one count of grand theft. Probably not a place the homeless should look for help

After 35 yrs of working, I found myself and my two dogs homeless in my hometown. Reach for Home promised to help me but only managed to help themselves by using me to talk to the Press Democrat about their organization. After 4 yrs, and both my dogs gone, I am still without shelter even after filling out multiple forms and submitting all required documents. They have provided shelter for felons and people from other Counties. This is my actual experience.

It's a very small group of people that are working they're very hardest at dealing with both a gridlocked council as well as dealing with bougie business owners that are renting spaces. I imagine very soon it'll be one of the best homeless shelters in the Sonoma county area.
