I stayed here about 13 years ago. I miss the nuns, they are kind souls. I live in Arkansas now, but always think about the sisters. I remember I seen one of the nuns who I've heard that she left the convent, eat from the pot when she was supposed to be fasting. She didn't know I was sitting at the dining table and she jumped. I pretended I didn't see her. 😂 Poor thing.

They have helped so many. Yes, there may be rules, regulations, chores & reasonable meal serving which some may complain about. Big picture: it's not only about one person but many... they are doing their best to help, care for, feed & heal so many women & babies. Those without a roof or food / those in true need of help would find this place a great blessing. Those who expect to be served hand and foot may find this place as a terrible place, it's not a resort. Each should not complain but be accountable for one's own choices & if a small helping hand is not good enough for one (with high expectations for free), it's ok because another (sincerely / humble / definitely needing help / a stepping stone) will appreciate the help. Those in extreme need of help would find the support, humble comfort, peaceful environment & accountable to participate in working together. Prayers can help & can be refreshing also. -Tough times can be temporary. Discover your inner strength, dignity, self-respect, determination & move forward into a better tomorrow. One cannot blame others forever but focus on making things better, not just for one but for our young (the innocents of a baby). Blessing to all

This place was so peaceful and the nuns took good care of us, cleaning up the facility daily and cooking dinner for us daily. I remember when 2 of the ladies got into an argument, the nun that stepped in said something that I will never forget, she said “one hand cannot clap to make noise, it takes two hands so both are guilty.” Both people are guilty in an argument. Imagine that🤭
They really promote family love there and look at us like we are their family, and like we are each others family. The program is for only 30 days after you have your baby and they tell you that up front, and they will not budge on that so you need to be working on your next move while you are there.

In 2015 I found this place at the end of pregnancy , due to me being 9 months a lot of shelters turned me down . The sisters opened the doors for me & it was truly the greatest experience for me & my child . They welcome you , and help you any way they can , provide meals , offer prayer & a great foundation for your newborn . I’m forever thankful for this place .
