Being the only child dealing with a parent with dementia has definitely been one of the hardest struggles of my lifetime. I feel really blessed to have found Sonnet Hill. Not only is it walking distance from my home but the staff has been really great. The transition was unbelievably smooth. I never thought my mom would be into it but she is loving her time there. Just yesterday, I went to visit her and when I showed up, she was dancing. From one side of the room she danced across from one care staff as a partner switching to another care staff. I overheard the second care staff dance partner proclaim, "I love my job." as she danced my mom towards the dining area. Not everything is easy with my mom, but I appreciate all the support and love we receive from Sonnet Hill.

We needed to place my Dad in a memory care facility. After looking at several places our family picked Sonnet Hill. Dad has been there a year now and seems happy there. The staff is very kind and is always willing to help with whatever we need for my Dad. They have activity directors who plan a morning & afternoon activity daily and the staff does theme weeks which is fun! They also decorate the place & hold special meals to celebrate the holidays! The maintenance guy has helped us with several things and Dom, the nurse, is always smiling & pleasant with the clients.
My family feels very comfortable when visiting & I even brought a friend to live there about 2 months ago who is suffering from dementia because I have been happy with everyone & their services.
It is always a hard decision when you have to make a decision to place your loved one somewhere and no place is perfect, but Sonnet Hill does a good job in a tough situation and is very willing to make the experience easier!

Sonnet Hill has been a life saver after my Mom’s fall, many hospital visits, and a big life change for her. The staff that care and cook for the residents are extremely kind. Food is fantastic! The activities are tons of fun and we appreciate attending as family. We feel like the people at Sonnet Hill are now part of our family.

In doing my research for a close family member, I visited Sonnet Hill to understand their approach to people with Alzheimer's. I was very impressed. I could see that their current residents were happy and had nice people to take care of them. I liked their activity schedule that they posted for the day. The woman that gave me the tour, Kiki, was very passionate about everything and answered all my questions.

After three months I am delighted with Sonnet Hill’s care of my husband, who has FTD. The place is small enough that the staff all know him, and he feels secure and happy. The building is beautiful new construction. What Sonnet Hill calls a double is actually a large individual room only the sharing kitchenette and bathroom with one other person. The staff are uniformly loving and kind, and have won my trust with their excellent care.

Finding Peacefulness

Even though our dad had 24/7 one on one care in his home for the past two (2) years, we as a family began to explore a possible memory care residential placement. Since our dad's dementia is quite severe, we knew finding a memory care residential placement would be extremely challenging.

When we met with Ms. Kiki Nakagawara and toured Sonnet Hill facility, we scheduled a Zoom meeting among family members to explore the possibility of a residential placement for dad. Given the numerous questions by family members, we scheduled two (2) more meetings with various staff members at Sonnet Hill and we were convinced by the open transparency and each staff member's willingness to engage in a free-flowing Q & A session that Sonnet Hill would be a perfect fit for our dad.

As a board member for the nonprofit organization Hearts and Minds, whose mission is to provide an enriched activity center for Alzheimer and dementia individuals, I immediately recognized the passion and dedication that each staff member demonstrated during our visitations!

We are extremely pleased with dad’s care and the tremendous support he has received during his transition for the past six (6) weeks. David Hahklotubbe, Jasmine Delacruz and Kiki Nakagawara are individuals who are highly skilled and are relentless in creating an exceptional memory care residential center.

Visiting our dad weekly has become a joy for family members. Our dad has adjusted extremely well, and he is in a positive mood for most of our weekly visits. This wasn’t the situation with his 24/7 care at his home. It is without question, the wonderful environment that has been created at Sonnet Hill is directly connect to David Hahklotubbe’s vision and the highly skilled individuals who are embracing “The Poetry of Aging”.

I strongly encourage you to schedule a tour at Sonnet Hill and I can guarantee you, your positive experience with staff members will be second to none!

Then Some Lady Called Me Back After Leaving a Message and I Asked for the Guys Name So I Can Report Him, Then She Hung Up On Me...

This Place is Terrible, Has Terrible Employees, They Are Rude and Make Fun of People, I Would Never Put My a Family Member That I Love In This Corrupt Place,
