I had been searching for a new church to call home after losing connection to that habit in life. I knew I wanted a church that was based in foundations of the Bible, that would teach the Word and help me reflect on my person through the teachings of Christ. I am so happy to say I found that at Cypress! I look forward to attending each Sunday, and the opportunities to get deeper into the education and understanding of faith via classes and groups is above and beyond. This is a non-denominational, Bible-based church; the warmth and camaraderie is easy to witness when attending.

I love this church. I realize this review is coming from a different perspective being on the staff... I can say I think the worship is all about Jesus and full of joy! 🙂 The teaching is solid...and Ben is humble in listening to the Holy Spirit and leading the staff and the congregation in the way he feels the Lord is showing him. I want to speak about the people who attend this church! This congregation is the real deal. The people are genuine, loving, kind, and really are seeking the face of Jesus. We are all learning how to love each other better. I believe after 2020 we have learned what it means to pray for revival, give thanks to God when it comes, and then keep praying! If you don't have a church home, if you are on the fence about this whole Jesus thing...come and try a service at Cypress. You are welcome here.

True story: Went to this place and was verbally attacked by Brenton Works for the Church doing sound, called me a liar, wolf , false prophet. I was shocked and humiliated. I have been in Ministry for nearly 30years with good reputation I am 62 yrs old I have never seen disrespect from the unbelievers like this!! so I reported to so called pastor he made it seem like it was my fault. Not the LOVE OF JESUS, this guy (pastor) told me to find another church on 2nd visit to this place. Is that how you treat visitors Not the Spirit of CHRIST. Please ask Jesus where he wants you to go where Jesus is in charge not MAN!!!

Cypress is a teaching and training church. It's passion for missions, evangelism, and discipleship makes it a very exciting place to attend that truly makes the purposefulness of Christianity real for me. I love seeing female faces in their leadership, including their extremely talented and motivated worship leader, Carrie. The church's elders are also super active and are the "shepherds" of the church not just in name but by their actions. The pastor delivers engaging sermons, and he is brimming with energy and vision for the church. It is a non-denominational church with a very engaging mix of preaching and line-by-line bible teaching. We came in during a teaching series through 1 Peter. But during November they did a month of preaching on evangelism and had multiple guest missionary preachers; and then December was on the prophecies relating to Advent. They have no-fluff programs entirely focussed on educating and equipping the saints, and initiatives to promote congregants to forge Christ-centered relationships specifically for the purpose of encouragement and building each other up in faith. I really have never attended a church that was so full of intentional action but still had so much heart as to keep it from becoming religious or staunchly professional. This is a growing church-- not just in attendance numbers, but it is full of growing Christians being encouraged and taught how to make every moment of their lives impactful for Christ.

This church is all about worshipping Jesus Christ, loving one another, and serving the world! Worship services are at 10am on Sunday mornings, and they are filled with Christ centered singing and preaching. Small groups meet throughout Monterey county during the week, and there are always opportunities to serve our community through outreach programs and the world through missions. I love this church!

Reasonably friendly church. Fairly typical Evangelical church. About 100 to 150 attendees each Sunday. Some interesting classes before service in the spring. Popular with military personnel out of DLI and NPGS.
