When my good high school friend, Bryon Wafful, from Boone, IA (after a tragic accident: C-5 quadriplegia) was relocated from Craig Hospital to San Diego, assisted care, I was directed to Triumph Foundation. As a nurse, I knew alittle about quadraplegia, & learned a lot at Craig Hospital, but Andrew Skinner walked me through all the steps we needed, to learn how to apply for a grant, to help us get Bryon the best possible Volkner Over the bed Turning Mattress, which totally prevented pressure sores, & gave him uninterrupted sleep at night...a God Send in this new world of paralysis. They helped us so many times, to get connected to Quad weekly zoom meetings, another blessing...to be able to listen & share. Because of those connections, Bryon learned that he wanted & needed an elective colostomy...& he loved it!! We learned about D-Mannose, a supplement to prevent UTI's. Triumph helped us continually for Bryon to accept & move forward in his new life. He passed away after 5 yrs, from a postop complication, but was prepared, & had enjoyed life as a quad.TRIUMPH AGAIN helped me through their exchange program to relocate all of our quadriplegic supplies, equipment, etc, & I now have new friends in this world, who helped me to accept the caregiver role & succeed. Thank you so much!!

Amazing group that does so much for the disabled community, both for newly injured individuals and people who have had a disability for years. They have given me some much needed help in the past. And their sport camps are top notch!
