If you’re a woman or are interested in coming VOLUNTARILY. I highly recommend you don’t. This place is full of homeless addicts looking for a place to stay and people needing to fight a case or get off parole. It’s disorganized, the groups are dumb and not helpful, you get zero freedom, the food is horrible, it’s filthy, they pack you into small rooms of 4 people, it’s filthy, unnecessarily strict. it feels like a juvenile prison more than a rehab center. Also they treat the men WAYYY better. Just go to Fresno first they’ll actually make you feel comfortable and allow you to have your own food and belongings in your room and don’t feed you slop everyday

My experience at WestCare for the most part is alll bad an a nite mare. Staff discriminates against non guys. I Calida him a favor for doing what he did an they terminated me an allowed him to stay that was not fare anybody would be mad about this so you can't expresses yourself there cuz they willl punissh. U Ithe have us sigh for groups they never run at least. 2 groups aday get bypassed. Meanwhile they get money for the group that we never. Ran. Lots of rules get bent. Not a good program at alllll I'm talking. My. Compaint. Pu Lilly. Cu 8 ha e witnesses statements to sustain. My complaints

I think west care is a very good place to start if u are struggling with addiction they assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to teach u so that u may understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet to be become a productive member of society. the biggest pluses was the food on occasions and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. The biggest minuses where no social passes so u are not allowed to go out of the facility unless u have an appt & also being in pending ( isolation) for the first 5 days from my understanding these changes occured due to covid so they are trying to keep us safe other then that it's probably one of the best facilities to come too 🤗

I have been here at West care for about 3 weeks now and being here has helped me more than anything else has in my life. I can actually say I like the person I look at in the mirror. If your indecisive about coming, you wont know unless you try. Right!? From my experience I could tell you if your willing to go to groups, listen and accept the love from the people here you will suceed. This place gives you a second chance and know your not a bad person for your choices you will be taught to forgive yourself and that you are in fact worth it! Love yourself or you can't love anybody else is something I learned the meaning of but it took me to not just hate myself but to love myself to know the real meaning of that. You have everything to loose out there but you have everything to gain in here. Good luck!

Very friendly and understanding staff but badly monitored program. Visitors are not searched before entering and can exchange anything to who they are visiting because there is not supervision of the visits. Saw a family give a loved one $100 when I was visiting my loved one even though they are not allowed money. They do not search patients when coming back from outings. I took my loved one to the doctor and he walked right back in with no checking and the next day tested positive for meth. The rehab tried to claim he got it while on his outing but he did not. He got it in the facility. I don’t know how anyone can get clean when it is so easy for others to bring in drugs.

end of da day, it'z a good place.. some not all staff, genuinely care about u & ur sobriety, & want to c u succeed in life.. & othr staff, well it'z der job, day got bill'z to pay.. & as for rule'z, sum r straight up ridiculous, & sum mak u feel lik ur 5 yr'z old, wit dat said, many rule'z r broken.. i'm not say'n diz is a bad place, cuz it really is not.. evryone has ther own opinion & der own experience, it really is up to u & how u spend ur day'z ther... ma experience was o.k.. in da end, i'm grateful & thankful to all da counselors, teacher'z & staff for bearing wit me & having da opportunity to come here.. i learned alot about myself & addiction..
& i made so much memorie'z dat i will remember for a lifetime, & most importantly so many forevr friend'z..
so i wish u all nothing but da best..
& hope u become a bettr version of urself, now, during recovery & in ur future..
for some, diz might b da last chance to do dat. so dont waste it..

West care saved mine and my husbands life and family. We were going to lose our kids forever until we came here. We owe everything to them. Genuine help if you want it.
