This is a wonderful facility for anyone aging. The staff is all very involved and know most or all of their clients names, by heart. The activities coordinators are amazing. They are always thinking of new things to do with clients, today doing chair volleyball. They have also done chair yoga and helped clients make a homemade peppermint milkshake. The med techs are always on time or if not, they respond almost immediately. It is a very close community there. I feel this facility does a great job building lasting community and getting the clients involved with many long lasting friends. I would definitely recommend this center to someone considering living in an assistant living center. They also have really good field trip activities like short hikes, etc.

An ideal choice for a parent or someone you know seeking a high-end retirement home. It is by the ocean in Southern California, it has lovely rooms, impressive common areas, and a beautiful roof deck with ocean views

I've lived at CBTS since mid-2021 and strongly believe that finding a better option for continuing care would be next to impossible. Of course the location on the ocean is a huge plus, but more importantly, I think, is the fact that residents here get exceptional care no matter which stage of life they're in or what level of care they require. The staff members in all departments are warm, caring, friendly, and respectful. If you find that you must move into a continuing care retirement community, then CBTS is definitely the place you should choose.

We decided not to go to Carlsbad by the Sea Retirement community and called them on the 31st of October, followed up with a written request to withdraw our deposit.
According to the "Contract" your sign, they are entitled to keep $500.00 as an administrative fee if you choose to withdraw your deposit, payable (according to their terms) within 10 days. Whilst we made numerous calls to them after the 10th of the month regarding our refund, no refund came. At the end of November, we finally heard from them that they had a "human error" issue and at our request, overnighted the remaining deposit.
After reading their response, you decide what makes the most sense for you long-term.

A top rated facility for rehabilitation after surgery. A great staff, excellent care, and great food. It's like being at a Resort. The care and services are / phenomenal in all areas. I can't thank the staff enough for the services and care I received during my stay there after my knee replacement. May God continue to Bless them all.

My wife spent 9 days at Carlsbad by the Sea for rehab following major surgery. We were very pleased overall. It's a beautiful place, the staff (medical, nursing, PT/OT, food service, etc) is friendly and responsive, and the food is great. Her experience, with very few exceptions, was good from the moment she arrived. We would recommend it!
